Why would anyone try to pay ransoms via BTC? That's what it most seems like.

Agreed. Don't think they're the same person, though. The guy lost his money due to lacking fundamental cautiousness

Cant really understand what has transpired as everybody here trying to guess. If Op has a below average command in english, it would be best to post this thread on his local dialect.
