Perhaps you might want to give a bit more specifics

just by using the terms 'piece' and 'for me' I'm inclined to believe you want something original

size
budget
media

do you want exclusive rights?

do you have something in mind?

what type of commission arrangement are you accustomed to or expecting?

An average size drawing for my home...nothing special.
Budget? None.
Media? Explain please.

Exclusive rights does not matter.
Something in mind? Sure, this - http://media.coindesk.com/2014/07/Bitcoin-Artwork.png (far right)
Commission? Just depends on what you want; we will work something out.

That's interesting, you want something abstract, those are really iffy because so much is left up to interpretation it could be very difficult to sell if the deal should fall apart.

In the digital image your provided I noticed a yellow bleed on top of the frame towards the bottom-center.

Media - essentially what the artwork is composed of.   Oil paint on canvass, watercolor on paper, metal on wood,  water, sand, etc ...
you didn't mention anything in the original post so I didn't know what your target was.

I am not an artist, I know many artists, both fine artists and graphic artists,  something like this should start with a sketch from the fine artist, once approved by the client, sent to the graphic artist to render a target image, once approved by the client then sent back to the fine artist for the human touch.

Here's my recommendation, create a vision for the artwork provide a few references then hire a graphic artist to materialize your vision so that you can tell a fine artist to paint, that image "x" size with "oil on canvass"  ...

A customary commission would be 50% upfront, and a nominal amount provided at each critical stage of development.    This is for proven artists that have a style of work you already like.

Artists are notorious for being late (aka lazy) so don't expect them to be on time, and do expect that they will be sensitive about everything.

My guess is the graphic artist could take care of what you want, if not, after you have a graphic depiction of what you want I could give you a direct quote for the human fine art  work.

I see that you are looking for contemporary art pieces. My suggestion is find a local artist to paint them. It is not worth shipping these "artwork" halfway across the world.
