I've been mining litecoins for a little while now and noticed that I'm not generating nearly the amount of litecoins as I used to with this pool http://litecoin.miningpoolhub.com. Is this because there are ASIC devices for litecoin? What new alternate cryptocurrency is ASIC resistant?

YUP there is no point mining Litecoin with a GPU anymore find some other coin to mine is my advice.

Consider mining something else profitable'ish then buying Litecoins if you really want them ?

Just look for another coin that is using different Algo's like Max Coin maybe that has Keccak / SHA 3 (i mine that with an old nvidia card and think it's undervalued)
I also CPU mine Jackpot coin which has a mix of 5 algo's too.
There is also X11 and X13 coins to look at maybe.. good luck.
