I'm new to the forum but I am wanting to change that.  I'm seabass1985 I live in the eastern US and have been a bitcoin miner for a little over 2 years now.  I have an extensive background in networking, custom PC builds, PC installation and repair. I have also been through training for ADSL, Cisco systems and worked as a lineman then moved into working on frames in central offices for a large communication's company.  I had an excellent career and future ahead of me until I went into a coma and woke up in a hospital to find out that I was a type 1 diabetic. Shortly after that I was in a bad car accident and shattered my right hip socket and also shattered my left knee cap into 6 pieces. After all that the company I was working for showed their true colors and terminated my position 3 days before Christmas. I went from making almost $30.00 an hour to nothing. Now I am scrambling to find a way to make a living. So my idea is to start a large mining farm. I have been in contact with Bitmain and have ran my ideas by them.  Being one of the best and most reputable miner manufacturing companies, I feel that working with them would benefit this project immensely.  Bitmain has generously given me alot of coupons to kick this mining farm into full gear. I am wanting to focus on using there C1 model and maybe even some S3's.  I have a very large area to construct this farm in that's equipped with climate control and a good mains power line with circuit breaker box.  So basically the big question is I'm looking for good upstanding trustworthy people to get involved in this project with me.  I don't want to take on all this alone. I need partners investors and even those who would offer any experience or knowledge.  I am currently running some antminers that are just the start of this adventure.  I am also getting a large sum of money towards the middle of this December from my accident.  I will be putting all of it into this farm. It would also be awesome if someone with the knowledge to make our own mining pool just for the members of this project. I also want to add a variety of things to the mining pool site to keep members entertained something different from all the other pools out there. I want a kind of VIP site where we can all come together play games, gamble, chat rooms and more. So in closing I am the real deal and am willing to do whatever it takes to get this idea off the ground.  I really hope all who read this take me seriously and we can get to know one another and see where we as a community can take this idea an make it a reality. Thank you so much for your time seabass1985.

Don't. A 2ths miner will cost you $6,000 and only yeild 0.1 (~$40 a week) and decay logarithmically.

Oh, look. Another newbie who wants your BTC.

This forum needs a Scams section so people who want to be scammed can have easy access to all these threads, not that they're hard to find... Roll Eyes

I am not accusing you to scam. however, when the other members see your rankings still a newbie, it will be difficult to make them believe. it's a natural thing, and you need a greater effort to convince them than just telling about yourself. they need convincing evidence. Smiley

First of all let me tell you that it's a huge mistake to build out a mining farm. The ASIC vendors themselves are building farms, and they will always beat you on cost. Unless you fabricate ASICs, you will never beat them. You are flushing all your money down the toilet. Furthermore, unless your power is around $0.02/kW, the farm will not be competitive. There are select datacenters around the world that can source very cheap power, and they will out-compete you as well.

Secondly, what you are asking is illegal in the US in 2 ways: (1) It is not legal to solicit investments for a private business on a public forum, and (2) investors in a business must meet the sophisticated investor rule set by the SEC. Raising money in BTC does not change this requirement.

Thank you for being so civilized. I respect constructive criticism like this. This is what I would expect from a senior member. Do you have any suggestions/ideas that may help me out.  I would greatly appreciate it.

The best advice would be to let this concept go... aka "letting go", because honestly, you are a bit too late in this niche and you should focus your time in another area Tongue
