Andrew McAfee - Race Against the Machine

"We ain't seen nothing yet when it comes to technology's impact on the labor force." Automation redefined blue collar employment and reshaped a global economy. Now, technology is replacing higher skilled jobs by augmenting human brainpower the way steam engines augmented human labor. Andrew McAfee braces us for a fundamental transformation in the future of work.

Automation is the true red pill. Once you automate all jobs there is no place for a market hence there is no place for money. Prove me wrong??

Actually there will still be the need for money. Just because you are replacing your human workforce with machines doesn't remove the cost of production. What would happen is a larger percentage of the population will be forced into poverty, and only the wealthy barons who own actual businesses will have any real wealth. The general population will become reliant on the state for things as basic as food and water, until the state runs out of money. Then you end up with some kind of revolt or enslavement of mankind.

Would make a great movie actually

between machines and humans is an aspect that can complement each other, humans need a machine to help with the work in order to more quickly and accurately, so that the work would be more efficient, while the machine, as a man-made course requires an operator to operate the machine, without the help of humans, the machine will not be able to stand alone ...  Roll Eyes
