Forum notifications

I hope this post is OK in this forum. If not, then I suggest a separate "bitcointalk.org help forum."

Anyways, I signed onto this site a couple months ago and posted in the "newbies introduce yourself" thread.

Now, anytime I click on "Show new replies to your posts," I still see the damn newbie thread in the list. Is there anyway to get that entry off of my "new replies" list?

I've tried clicking on stuff but have not found success yet.

Clearly you don't want to be shown new replies to your posts. You should use the watchlist feature instead.
