Hi,

I'm thinking of making an altcoin for fun (personal use only) and I was wondering what kind of work it would take to change a coin's algorithm. For example, change Peercoin's SHA-256 for a CPU based mining algorithm. I tried looking online, but I couldn't find any tutorial that elaborated on this process.

Thanks for helping and I apologize if my English is bad as it is not my first language.
