But we do believe that cryptocurrencies will become a major, disruptive presence in global finance -- and we are watching carefully. Over the next several years, as global central banks continue their all-out war on deflation, cryptocurrencies may gradually rise in prominence as an alternative form of money that, like gold, is insulated from the macro policy goals of governments.
I certainly think they have the potential to, but whether they will or not time will only tell. I think there's massive potential in things like the remittance market where the benefits and savings of using bitcoin are clear as day. I just hope the rest of the world sees this.
