I wonder if the price drop right now is happening because of that.

You can be pretty sure... it's a shame, just when we were visiting the 270$

Oh, and of course it's not a hack. They said that their cold wallet was compromised. BULLSHIT! Cold wallets are not hackeable.

This was an inside job.

another exchange "hacked" still people give their btc to the exchanges.  one day you will all learn your lesson that exchanges are not to be trusted as they ALL run fractional reserves at your expense.

so which exchange will be next to be failed/hacked?

I think it's only a matter of time and finding the right and best opportunity to sell off. However if those coin made its way to bitcoin hoarders or collectors, it will not have any effect on market price as long as it doesn't find its way to the open market.

For me it is interesting when the news about the possible hack was released. It was just when BTC started its mini-recovery rally.

The Banks have power over all money in the world... The exchanges have power over all Bitcoins in the world... Nothing has changed... Still greedy mofos on top who make the rules and manipulate the market (see gox)... And still the sheeps (we) have no power at all... I thought Bitcoin is revolution...

7000 Bitcoins will make the price go perhaps $30 lower if dumped at once at decent exchange.

But then again, it will go up quickly again.

It's sad to see that we were heading up with a good vibe, and suddenly a shitty exchange ruins everything by "losing" $1.7M worth of coins.

Just tired of the price drops and even more tired when an exchange is hacked and btc is dumped

But that is bad news. Those usually push price up.

It's obvious the price is being manipulated. If these idiots had a clue they would dump slowly to not crash the price.
