It's true that everyone has an opinion, and it wouldn't be the same if everyone thought the same, just agreed with everything, and just went along with the herd mentality.
That said, the role "Trolls" play here in Bitcointalk lately is simply to derail topics and persuade newbies to side with their agendas. Most of the time it's to push some altcoin or just to get a rise out of everyone. As for the "Scammers", sometimes they're easy to notice by their sign up date and their 1 post scam letters, sometimes they're more intricate and wait awhile longer, before they pounce.
So overall I wouldn't say it's a good/evil debate, because if everyone just went along with things, it'd be a boring ass place. Trolls play their part, and as long as it's not malicious, and intended to scam, then they also belong here. Scammers on the other hand, have no place in Bitcointalk or the whole Bitcoin community in general, and if we all do our part to point and weed them out, it would help to legitimize Bitcoin.
