Quote
The globally infamous punk rock group “Pussy Riot” has released a new video called “I Can’t Breathe” to speak out against police brutality and show their support for the case of Eric Garner.

Quote
In a statement issued this week through Buzzfeed, the group said, “Illegal violence in the name of the state kills not only its victims, but those who are chosen to carry out these actions. Policemen, soldiers, agents, they become hostages and are buried with those they kill, both figuratively and literally. We really could not breathe for this whole last year. Our previous ideas did not speak to what was happening in the conflict zone in Ukraine as we were realizing that Russia is burying itself alive in terms of the rest of the world. Committing suicide. Daily.”

“I Can’t Breathe” is the group’s first English single, and is dedicated to “all who suffer from state terror – killed, choked, perished because of war and police violence – to political prisoners and those on the streets fighting for change”.

Nadya and Masha participated in the protests against the NYPD for Eric Garner in New York City and were inspired to write a song about the struggle against police brutality.

There are two versions of the video.

IMO, Pussy Riot is a pop culture intelligence propaganda OP. I have just seen far too many picture perfect reactionary scenarios with this group. This leads me to also conclude that certain related groups are trying to start a civil war in the US by leveraging racial tensions, and tensions against abusive police.

There's no doubt Pussy Riot is politically charged, even though it may all be just for ratings. Their staged events are certainly suspect. (ei. Like the one they staged last year, being whipped by Russian Cossacks. http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/19/world/russia-sochi-pussy-riot/) Nonetheless, (even though I may not agree with their tactics) they are creating more awareness (of ever increasing state sanctioned brutality), which may actually be a double edged sword these days, since it could cause more support for the police state just as easily as against it.

As for civil war in the USA, I highly doubt that will ever happen. The most that will happen is greater public dissent, but like I said this could turn out to do more bad than good. Awareness and/or dissent may not cause the desired effect of change in government policy for the common good of the people, but may in fact create greater support for a stronger, more militarized police state. Most people (in the developed world) believe that their government and corporations would never do anything to harm them and (to them) anyone who believes anything to the contrary is deemed an extremist (the latest buzz word being equated to terrorists) or simply considered to be childish and immature, as in kids just being rebelious and worshipping music idols. In either case, police brutality is often seen as justified.

those girls are just here to promote sexual perversity to favorise the fucking of ukis girls during the European football cup, and make the uki pimps richer. Never trust a woman exhibiting herself for a cause others than money (that's how the free mason see the world, fucking as a work, and when the controllers destroy all others possibility for a decent living some will fall, as designed). ooopppss sorry I was speaking of FEMEN... (but will not erase it even if fully OT).

Not my type of music and the video was really simple and quite boring. It seems they are hoping to gain more audience by standing up against authority instead of focusing on making better songs.

yep with certainly some kind of nudle girl obama admin plot backing Cheesy, that's thier level...

money is faster...
