ISIS is planning to mint its own currency in gold, silver and copper, the group said Thursday.
Its aim is to stay away from the "tyrant's financial system," ISIS said in a statement. It said it would issue another statement to explain the new currency's exchange rate, and where it can be found. Sounds like they are printing their own kind of FIAT. More scamcoin. I think this is a great opportunity to show them Bitcoin and get some users from the Middle East. The anonymity and low fees are sure to be a turn on. How can we spread the word and help Bitcoin go TO THE MOON!? OP doesn't seem to understand what fiat money is. The CNN article said they planning to mint gold, silver and copper coins, what would be a commodity currency or at least a commodity based representative currency but not a govt blahblah backet fiat money. I don't want to mention his moral and ethics as that doesn't exist. He isn't even good for a speculator as BTC value would freefall as soon as ISIS would accept it. Shortly, he must be a retard or a troll. |

To the people that are so dilusional about everything, i doubt they care who created bitcoin, unless they would somehow bind it with US. I dont care if they use bitcoin or not, but i hope they fail in their goals and be trialed for everything insane they did. cheers |

Physical cash is freely flowing in to the ISIS held towns such as Mosul and Raqqa through the porous Turkish border. As long as that route exitsts, they won't even consider BTC. |

Yes, they are psychopaths because they believe in extermination. But they're not schizo, they have an awfully extreme interpretation of their religion. They absolutely would reject something based on who created it or what it symbolized. To your point, they use cash (likely US dollars), so perhaps currency is just the means to their end. |
