Fellow Forum Members,

I fired up my online Armory and it took a good 50 minutes to work through the three phases below which I'm not questioning:

Initializing Bitcoin Engine
Build Databases
Scan Transaction History

However, what I am questioning is the following. Twenty minutes after my session that originally took 50 minutes to launch I decided to change my Armory mode from Standard mode to Expert mode to check it out. For the change to take place required I exit out of Armory and then relaunch Armory.

On my second relaunch (only 20 minutes later) Armory restarts from 000000 blocks and takes another 20 minutes to work through all three phases a second time. Is this normal? Also, is there a setting somewhere in Armory that will tell it to only work through the new blocks that have been added since last launch and not start from the beginning every time I fire it up?

I'm using the latest 93 version and also updated my Bitcoin Core to version 10. It's suppose to be faster but I don't see a drastic difference in startup time compared to version 0.92.3.  Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Are you consistently getting a rescan after each restart?
