Speaking for myself, my time spent scanning through the Currency exchange child board would be better spent if it weren't so full of threads concerned with loose change amounts of proposed trade.

For those agreeing that it would be useful to separate the men from the boys (or should that be adults from children?), where is the line between a worthwhile amount to trade and a nickle and dime trade? For me, the purely arbitrary figure of $100 would be a good place to start.

I don't think it's necessary. Most people who are looking to buy or sell bigger amounts will just go straight to the more established sellers with the larger threads that are always at the top and will likely just ignore all the other smaller offers from newbs etc. I don't think we need to split them up into different subs.

Big sellers and buyers go to exchanges and well known traders to do their trading, this isn't necessary.

I wouldn't mind having a child board that people could *optionally* list threads where something is being traded for small amounts, say .25 btc or less, in a similar way that auctioning something in the auctions section is optional.

The only reason why a child board should be created if there's high demand for it. I don't see this being the case.

There are a good number of very small trade proposals and the buying power of users does vary greatly due to varying standards of living of places users live.

I don't think it is necessary a new childboard, all know who are the "best sellers" here in the forum.
