Hi mods,

I can't seem to post anything in the "overview of signature ad campaigns" thread run by Miche?? in services discussion.

The last 5 times I've tried to post anything there, including a simple test post, it's been deleted by a mod.

I'm not sure what's up with this but I figured I may as well report it somewhere.

A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted.

This is a test post to see if mods/Mitche?? or others are banning me from posting any content in this thread or their mini-war on me a few days ago was some kind of fluke or was related to my criticism of ocupy[sic] coin or what?

I had posts removed several times in a row which criticised the ocupy[sic] coin and I didn't ever get to figure out why.  I have a suspicion that Miche?? is banning me from posting anything at all in here so I figured I can test that out.

Why wouldn't that be removed? It's not related to the Signature Overview thread so it's off-topic. Here in Meta is the place to post those sorts of queries or complaints.

I posted this in your other thread about the signature campaign overview thread and when you ignored it and continued to post stupid shit there I sent it to you via PM which you likely also ignored considering I got no response and you continued to post off topic.

Posts about the moderation of the forum are off topic unless they are in meta. Threads about the moderation of the forum are misfiled unless they are in meta.

If you wanted to claim that a moderator was deleting/editing posts in an effort to scam then you could post in scam accusations, and this would be the only exception to the above rule.

The thread you created in service discussion will likely be moved to meta. The 2nd post about the moderation of the forum you posted in the overview of signature campaign threads will likely be deleted by a moderator.

To directly answer your question, you cannot know who deleted your posts as the system is directly setup to prevent that to prevent harassment of the moderators. The reason any post would get deleted would be that it broke some rule of the forum, if you want a more specific reason then that then you would need to create a thread here (in meta)

I think this answers both the specific question of this topic and answers the 'root cause' question as to why you created the topic

Yes, thank you quickseller, as you pointed out, you've presented this reply to me several times and via several channels.  I thank you for your opinion.  But I think you're going a bit too far if you say I "continued to post stupid shit".  For one thing, nothing I've posted in the overview thread has been allowed to last more than a minute or two so I don't see how you'd have any idea whether what I'm posting is "stupid shit".  I'm sorry that I didn't acknowledge you sooner.  I hope you'll back off a bit now.

@hillarious: One reason not to delete it would be to show me that I'm not on some kind of unofficial thread ban from miche??'s thread.  Nothing I've posted has been allowed to stand in that thread for over two weeks.  Everything I have tried to post in that thread has either been relevant to the sig ad campaigns or the companies involved or to these shenanigans regarding having my posts deleted.  The post was intended as a "dudes, am I just not allowed to post anything in here?" test and the answer seems to be "that's right".

I guess I can keep on trying to post relevant things in there but we'll see if they all just go to the trash bin (which started happening when I started criticising ocupy[sic] coin in there a couple of weeks ago).

You're not on a thread ban. The posts I've seen reported in the que have all been for off topic posts. If you wanted to do a test you could have just posted something relevant and on topic and it would have been fine. Making an off topic 'test post' is obviously going to be a self-fulfilling prophecy as of course it's going to get deleted.

Some may say that me saying you continued to post "stupid shit" is a little harsh. However no you do not have any kind of thread specific ban. To address your specific concern about a post deleting the spelling of ocupy, the signature campaign thread was not the appropiate place to place that criticism as that is in fact the name of the campaign.

It would have been more appropriate to post such criticism in the thread about that scam coin.

The signature campaign thread is only advertising a specific business and the signature campaign overview thread is even farther removed.

I know for a fact that at least one person who is active in reporting posts monitors the signature campaign overview thread very closely and will likely be quick to report posts that are off topic in that thread (I am not talking about bitcoininformation aka Mitchell)

I understand your logic hilarious.  I would only argue that criticizing the seriousness of a project is very relevant to whether they will actually pay what they say and therefore very relevant to the overview thread, yet this comment was deleted for reasons unknown to me on several occasions.  Therefore I thought a generic test was motivated.  However if you say I can still post in the overview thread, I will try again.

You can post in any thread you like but just one rule, follow the rules. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0 for a list of rules, it will be helpful to you.
