Hi guys,

I have a really bad time trying to install the drivers for both my ATI HD 6990 and HD 5850 on Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick).

Are you aware of any way to have them working (mining) together?

i think you may be out of luck if you're going for crossfire http://sites.amd.com/PublishingImages/Public/Graphic_Illustrations/WebBannerJPEG/AMD_CrossfireX_Chart_1618W.jpg

I'm not going for Crossfire, as it wouldn't give any performance increase afaik.

Just trying to install a driver which can handle both cards (or two different drivers which wouldn't collide). ATI released different drivers for 6xxx and 5xxx, and I couldn't figure out how to make them both up & running on the same machine.

Solved it by reinstalling the OS from scratch, with the latest binary drivers for 6xxx series (available from AMD site).

They apparently detected my 5850 as well.
