I got this PM from user theyrmos. He is not the real theymos but a fake. Be careful!

Remember to always check the coins under the name, theymos has 5 coins with the last one half red and the rank of Administrator. This newbie has only 1 coin under his name. Stay alert, and you'll be fine.

Remember to always check the coins under the name, theymos has 5 coins with the last one half red and the rank of Administrator. This newbie has only 1 coin under his name. Stay alert, and you'll be fine.

Exactly. There should be some kind of checklist to go through when sending money.

Most people will spot the fake if they notice it, esp with the REP or something that stands next to its users title below.

But good shout out though.

There is another one by the name of Theyymos. 
This should not be a surprise. There are probably hundreds, if not thousands of people impersonating probably dozens of trusted members on this forum. It is pretty rare that people fall for it, but every now and then they do, and when they do, it is for a lot of money.

Just a few weeks ago someone to lose 4.4 BTC to a scammer/impersonator.

Hmm. Now that I think about it, it's best if said checklist is in your head, though.

You can (must) also check the forum ID , the real theymos has the ID : 35  . Almost all the users don't check these "small" but important things that can allow you to not be scammed.
