Coinplug Enables Bitcoin Buying at Over 7,000 Regular ATMs

South Korean bitcoin services company Coinplug has enabled bitcoin purchases with credit cards through over 7,000 regular cashpoint ATMs across the country.

As well as being the first to sell bitcoins through ATMs not specifically designed for that purpose, it will be the first credit card to bitcoin service in the country.

This is a healthy spot for this large saturation of ATMs as they're prime targets for adoption of Bitcoin. There'll be way more options for the masses of a lot more nations to purchase coins during the next wave forward.

Nice simple way to buy bitcoin from ATM but the problem is identity and card cloning if someone decides on making a card reader for them. They might be protected in a way this cant be done. But alos the rate of what someone buys at will no doubt be a lot higher than the regular price. I have already seen a number of ATM machines across the UK and they charge out of this world fees. Take BTC being as an example price $300 a coin they want at least $340 per coin so their fees are stupid. Some where maybe 5 to 8% and one being well over 25%. It is good that this sort of thing is happening as it makes it more mainstream and more public will begin to use bitcoin if it is simple enough to buy.

Although the fees are quite steep in most cases, I hope many regular ATM's support Bitcoin soon... It's a huge step forward to mainstream adoption.

I hope this comes to Europe ASAP

This is a far smarter solution than bitcoin only ATM's.
And 7000 of them... Wish I lived in South Korea!
