Why would they favor one currency over the others?  Crytocurrency is what should be the lesson in the curriculum.

Stanford is the first university in the country to offer a Bitcoin course ..

Great, other schools should follow as well and add bitcoin101 on their school curriculum. But as of the meantime I agree that it can be added on lessons discussions under economic theme type subjects.

Could see it discussed in specific college environments but don't think we'll be seeing classes about Bitcoin below that educational level.
