https://exchange.coinbase.com/trade

The price chart is self explanatory, but what am I looking at when I see the red(orange?) numbers changing all rapid like? Are those like offers to sell certain amounts of bitcoins at a certain price and you can click on them to complete the transaction? When they blink red and change value what does that mean happened? When they go to zero and disappear what does that mean happened? Sometimes they all go to zero and disappear and the page quickly replenishes with new numbers, what does that mean happened?

And what are the green numbers? Offers to buy at a certain price and you can click on them to complete the transaction and buy? What is going on there? I have found no legend or guide to what is being shown on that page. And the exchange is not available in my state yet so I can't even use it…

Thanks for the help!

Huh Nobody else knows either huh? Or everybody knows and it's so trivial that no one can be bothered to respond with an answer?

Don't feel bad, I can't find a single article to explain the exchange chart.
Is red buy or sell and what is a depth chart for?
Pretty lame outfit when they don't realize that there are new users who have never seen a chart.
This is apparently written by rocket scientists for rocket scientists
