SecondMarket Failed to Win Bitcoins in Latest Government Auction

(Bloomberg) -- SecondMarket Inc. said it wasn’t among the winners of the U.S. government’s third bitcoin auction, held to dispose of virtual currency seized by authorities when the illicit Silk Road online marketplace was shut down in 2013.

To auction coins off they might as well open theri own exchange to sell the coins off and give everyone equal chances to buy the coins with their own amount would like to pay for x amount not for the entire lot only gives bigger corporate or bigger investors chances. Give everyone equal rights and chances not big corporate people the chance to gain some extra coins.

Well i guess their offer was simply too low, and thats a good thing that there as some competition, much rather to hear this than that there was no interes in buying all coins what so ever, it would plummet the price way down and flash around all news headlines for days.
Now if only they would make it public to what their maximum bid was, it would give us very valuable piece of information.

It would help if they disclosed the price that they bid.
I am not sure why they want to keep it a secret.
