Have you already tried to ask for all wallet-ID-data from Mt.Gox? That would be an awesome stop to factual investigation methods.

If MtGox is under new management and implements sound accounting methods, this it will become the most reliable bitcoin exchange.  Why would I not want to do business with them?

For old management & CEO of course the answer is big NO.
