How would using escrow solve the problem that PayPal can be charged back several months after the purchase?

I might sell you but here're my rules; - You'll send paypal to my account - I'll send bitcoin to a trusted escrow - After 6 months when I'm sure that you didn't chargeback (Paypal's chargeback policy says it can be done in 180 days / 6 months). I'll give a go to the escrow and you'll get your bitcoin. https://www.paypal.com/gb/webapps/helpcenter/helphub/article/?solutionId=FAQ957&topicID=&m=ARA

It is very very insecure for sell bitcoin.

Sure, irreversible methods like western union, money gram, cash deposit in bank account, etc. Also have a trusted escrow hold the bitcoins for your protection.

Is there no secure way to buy Bitcoins and not provide Identification? I would love to use Bit-x or Localbitcoins but they all need ID. And this forum has some sketchy people and if someone is selling some Bitcoin they will charge quite a lot more than Bitcoins actual value.

It depends on your country. The method varies a lot depending on your location. But if you offer WU and other non-reversible methods you will find somebody to sell.

You'd be less trusted but if you use escrow you'll be fine.

Locking the thread.
