Does it mean that Icopress is no longer interested on his merits applications?

I was going through the list of merit sources and their applications, I came across Icopress application moved to off-topic and I was shocked to see his application was moved to that section and the curiosity led me to create this topic to know if he is longer interested in the merit sources application or he has been approved already and he decided to scrap the post to that section.

Now, to Icopress please I didn't just post this to insult you or offend you, just that I was a bit worried to see that series of merits sources was approved yesterday and I didn't see any reflection to you, although even though you are approved I wouldn't know until you unleashed the information to the community.

I do not think it is a moderator that moved that thread to off-topic but Icopress would have done it himself and that only means he is no longer interested in becoming a merit source.

If you read the thread up to the last page you will actually see that the there was a deliberation about whether campaign managers should be given the merit source role on the forum, probably this deliberation was the reason why he himself would have moved it there or maybe it was moved there by the moderators. I also saw that Upgrade00 wasn’t offered the merit source role too maybe because he was a Campaign Manager too

What's interesting here is that we can infer that maybe theymos does see a potential conflict of interest in being a campaign manager and a merit source. Do we know if there is an instance of a campaign manager who is a merit source as well?

On the thread AB de Royse777 Said he was a merit source probably before becoming campaign manager and he asked Theymos to remove him from been a merit source and also added another thing again that campaign managers shouldn’t be allowed to vote as a DT1 because he thinks there will he conflict of interest. Probably can we say that Theymos actually agreed with suggestions and has already started implementing them and reason why Icopress thread was moved?.

Anyways we shouldn’t be discussing about others application it’s disrespectful in my opinion

I don't think this is actually the case, and there was actually no definite decision taken on that deliberation. Plus, CryptopreneurBrainboss is a campaign manager, and also so far one of the best merit source we have in the Naija local board, so I really don't think that's why the application was moved to off topic. Rather than making assumptions, I believe this question should be directed to icopress so he can answer it, that's if he feels like.

Well, if I must say I don't like bugging people or someone on pm, although previously I sent out pm to him but there was no answer and I felt very bad for doing that, I could have repeated it but I just have to show little respect to him and make it open maybe, if he found concerns to it he may reply here or just ignore.

I think I have also seen reason why he wasn't approved because it is like a double task being a campaign manager and a merits source.

I have spoken to the admin multiple times and he is currently not considering requests until the merit system is reworked, so your assumption is not only wrong but also misleading to others.

Also, I felt there was no need to keep the thread active and allow trolls to post nonsense if new merit sources are not going to be assigned anyway. That's why I moved it to another section.

Now that the OP has received a response, the thread should be locked immediately.

If that be the case that it was moved to the off topic board with an act of icopress not being interested with the merit source after being applied, now what if Theymos consider approving him later on and still have to dig his application out from the off topic board, would that result to a compromise? Because I know Theymos isn't limited to visit the off topic board and may probably think the thread was mistakenly moved to the off topic board.
Perhaps if he wasn't interested anymore, he would had made it clear in the application thread and lock the thread because moving it to the off topic board doesn't still deprive Theymos from reviewing it.

What Zaguru12 said is actually wrong and misleading because I don't see how a campaign manage becoming a merit source is a problem. A manage is an integral part of the forum and should even be in the position of being merit sources because they judge post weekly based on the work of their participants.

@Icopress, Theymos recently approved merit sources for the Nigerian board, I don't know if that happens to only Nigerians or it was done for other members of the forum that applied to be merit sources. I remember your application and that of one person from India, if the approval was done across boards, I will be surprised why yours was not considered.

The admin is assigning new merit sources.  I just saw Charles-Tim and a few other members get that "merit source" status today.

Thank you boss for the responses, although I was pissed to see that your application was moved to that section knowing how reputable you are to the forum, this curiosity led me to raise this concern. Again, hearing from you proved everything hidden under the skirt. Of course after this reply I have to lock this thread, and also I didn't know it was your decision to move your topic to that section of the forum, I was concerned because I am a big fan of yours.
