Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy

Of course we are all waiting or will be really glad when bitcoin's price drops to 100$. If that would happen many people will panic buy and hoard it to sell it to higher price. But large whales would not let that happen. It is like trading where you always miss the right time to buy because you are having doubts to it. You will regret once you saw it is already in a high price and blaming yourself for not buying while its cheap.

With the current situation, I don't think the price will go back at 100USD. The situation is going better for bitcoin with all the turmoil around the world right now, and I think is going to reach the mainstream population. If you wait to see the price to reach this amount before buying, I think you going to have white hair

lol, i liked the last sentence of yours anyhow, whatever you said is quite right, as we all can see how the price is going up these days and in such a situation we can really not think about a price like $100 or so but we are looking for a price even higher than what it is right now, so yeah, maybe someone will have white hair if they wait so long.

Of course, we can never dream of a price that low and we don’t want it to get that low, the current price does not mean that the price will keep on rising at some point it will go down and that is the best time to buy, but when it goes down it won’t go down to a price of 100$ it will most likely to go down to 700$ or 500$.

Maybe your right or no, but no one can see the future so waiting for that $100 is possible because if the whales will sell the majority of their bitcoins then it will result for the price to be dumped so hard and it could really reach 100$ which is a bad scenario for investors who bought their coin for a very high price but it is quite great for investors who are waiting and having a lot of patience to grab that offered price that may serve as a great opportunity. Don't stick only on positive side because it is best for you if you plan for those bad scenarios because there is a saying says "If you fail to plan you plan to fail" .

When bitcoin fell from $1200 to $200 over the course of a few years, was there something wrong with it? It essentially was unchanged, the only thing that changed was everyone's perception of it. There was nothing "wrong" with bitcoin, it was just a case of the bubble popping. I'm not unconvinced that the current $950 price level isn't another bubble, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the price collapse again. (Hoping not, but wouldn't be surprised still if it did.) That wouldn't necessarily signal anything is wrong with bitcoin if the price crashed again, it would just indicate that everyone once again got carried away with their expectations for the currency and its value.

If bitcoin fell to said $100 something dramatic must have happened. At that point I would probably lose quite a bit of faith in bitcoin. I'd prefer not to see it go there even though it would obviously be a good buying point.

well the 2013 price rise was mostly fake pumps done by the only big exchange at that time called MTGOX, and other exchanges had too little volume to have any say in things and they could easily pump the price to make an exit as they did soon after.

but if you look at the bottom $200 there was a reason for that price, the resistance for the real price and all the analysis showed that price as the bottom if you loo at the whole chart starting from 2009 and ignore the $1000 you see a smooth rise actually from $1 to $200 and continue up to today's price.

It can spike up and bitcoin can drop to zero, its naive to believe otherwise.   Incompetence, ineptitude, malpractice, arrogance, hubris, however good the code the network is ultimately relying on the good nature of man for the development in its success or failure.   Stating Bitcoin can never go down now to me makes that even more likely because your not looking down it doesn't mean we cant fall.

If bitcoin does better represent capitalism then we must also believe in an open competitive market which means bitcoin can be replaced this year by something better.  This is why I think its about the developing situation not this fixed idea of superiority to dollar meaning a certain destination of higher prices.

There is nothing wrong with the US dollar itself to begin with, the machinery is fine enough to carry on for generations.   The decisions made by those at the controls is leading to its destruction, if thats not an anarchist view but increasingly mainstream then it must also be stated as possible for bitcoin or any other 'arbitrary' standard.

i already trad in bitcoin as i have not such a big money to purchase bitcoin in a good quantity and then to hold it for a long time, therefor i mostly invest my little amount in alt coins.

The worse thing that can happen into bitcoin now is return to the 800 dollars once again, even with bitcoin up and down i doubt we will see anything below the 1000 dollars soo soon, maybe im wrong but looks like we are testing the new value of bitcoin. I do hope it returns to the 900 and re-start build again to achieve at the 1000 dollars with some valid reasons, because im confused why the price is soo high.

Well honestly i did not experience the 1k value from 2013 but now i experience and i am here right now from 2015 i am started studying about bitcoin and earn with bitcoin.. doing affiliate and marketing just to have savings but i am not expected that the price could be rise the same before 2013.
And now we are above $1,000 and i think more will come and i think the price will not crash just like before..

yes if the price dropped for over 25% i doubt there gonna be a rising price back.

people will do panic sell instead keep buying , a down price are needed for the correction and rebuild to bounce back to the highest price, wish the best scenario happened , not the wors scenario one during this new year!

Others may discontinue to use bitcoin because lf the fall down and others might buy bitcoin as many as they can because of the falling price incase thats happen i would be sad.

Since it will not be good for bitcoin economy as a whole then I believe it will not happen anymore, people will think that the price is just manipulated as we are back again in the same situation in the past. With the current price movement now, I do not think we will drop easy, it's increasing and the movement is very healthy as it is consistent. We should hope for the best and don't expect it will happen again.
