When are you going to get it through you head that sea-level means the height of the sea with relation to a piece of land, especially with reference to the tides?

You continually talk like sea-level means that the sea is flat and not curved. If it happens to mean this in a few isolated cases, the standard understanding is as I said in the previous paragraph.

Your deceptiveness in this area is evidence that you are being deceptive in everything you say.

Hey, man. Thanks for asking the question I answered for you in my previous post, above. You need to learn how to read posts that you refer to, before you ask questions that are answered in them.

BTW. Pretty picture. Guy walking on wet ice. Neat. The photographer. Was he/she standing on some rocks on the shore of the lake? Or did the guy have the camera set up on a tripod, and snapped the pic by remote control?

The ancient Greeks endevored to measure the curvature of the Earth in 240 B.C..  Of course, this only incdentally proves the Earth was sphere or spheroid.  There wasn't even a question back then whether the Earth was flat or not.  How long has mankind known this to be true is unclear to me.  It seems it could be far before that like before writing itself.  I no longer think everyone who says they are Flat Earthers are trolling the rest of us.  Some of them are sincere.

Look  if  reality is the matrix or a twist on the matrix  they could be correct.  Pretty much the only way they can being correct is the existence of a  far superior science that chooses to deceive us for the purpose of their research.

Some like the op may call these God and angels.  Myself I say who cares.  The essential truth for me is I don't know  what is true so I make a guess that  the following is true:
 
1) the earth is round
2) we rotate around the sun
3) there really are lots of planets and stars


if it is all lies by smarter aliens

or all bs by god and his or her angels to test me

both can fuck off.  I maintain neither group has the right to test us this way.

But you don't have to go that far. You can see by the post above yours that I am quoting here, that the OP is constantly playing games with the minds of people if he can get away with it. He doesn't have any proof for flat earth, and he doesn't know how to refute the proof for globe Earth.

So relax. If you let other people play with your mind like he is trying to, it is really you testing yourself. Continue to have faith that God is upholding everything just the way that you have always known. But when real proof comes across, that shows that you have made a mistake in your thinking, don't be too unyielding to change. Just make sure that it is real proof.

Your picture is the crux of the whole matter. You say the earth is flat. And you back it up with a picture that shows some of the earth being flat. But the person in the picture isn't flat. And the mountains in the background aren't flat. And if you got down close to what looks like flat ice or water, you would find that it isn't flat either. So, where is the flat? Your picture is absolutely useless for showing flat earth, unless you describe how the picture shows flat earth.

In an Olympic size swimming pool, when the water is absolutely still, it looks flat. Not including adhesion or cohesion, or the height of the molecules of water, the water actually curves with the curvature of globe earth. The reason you can't see it is because the amount of curvature is so small that it can't be observed. However, in a swimming pool the size of the ocean, it is readily observable.

Since you are unwilling to recognize these simple truths, but you want to show pictures like the above, and then let people try to reason their way around what you mean... would you be a religious leader like Jim Jones (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Jones) if your FE went far enough among people?

The mirror does not curve if it's forming a perfect reflection thus, the earth is flat.

At over 4,000 square miles that's some swimming pool.

The surface of the ocean does not curve into a sphere, everybody who has taken their Nikon P900 to the beach knows the earth is flat. The opposite of what you say is demonstrably true; a flat and level surface is "readily observable" across the sea.

I haven't even touched on refraction and the angular resolution limit of the zoom lens and I've already dubunked your shit-for-brains claim.

It's you that needs to stop dropping deuces here, get a Nikon P900 and go to the beach! Simply watching a boat disappear past the horizon with the naked eye then pulling it back into full view with a P900 debunks the globe.

Look. The answer to this is simple.

Fly a passenger-carrying, hot air balloon to a height of a couple hundred feet. Fly it as far away as you can so that you can still barely see it through the natural, atmosphere haze... if it hasn't dropped out of sight over the horizon, that is. The people in the balloon see you just like you see them.

You have radio contact. The people in the balloon use a transit to measure the angle between you and a distant, visible object that is on the exact opposite side of the balloon as you are, and exactly as far away as you are from the balloon.

If the transit angle is only the size that an angle would be on flat land regarding the height of the balloon, then the earth is flat or flat-ish. If it is greater, the curvature of the earth can be determined from what the angle is, minus the balloon height angle. This whole project can be done much easier from the top of a small mountain rather than a balloon.
