Pack of Stray Dogs Stand Guard at Animal Lover's Funeral

This would have gladdened the heart of the poor soul. Sometimes, animals show emotion better than humans.  Smiley

Not possible as the person was already dead. You can't feel glad or anything else when your brain matter is rotting.

Remember Aaron Swartz, a 26 year old computer scientist who died defending the free flow of information.

poor dogs... they just lost their caretaker.  Sad

Animals always shows their emotion more than humans do. it's just that not all of their kinds know what "gratitude" is.

You are personifying the shit out of these dogs. Dogs don't understand death very well, they often stay with the dead body of a human for days waiting for him/her to wake up.

God Bless that beautiful soul! Too bad she's gone.
Unfortunately, stray dogs are all over latin countries, the locals refuse to get them neutered which has created this issue.
Its very sad all the way around.

This is similar to that Hachiko story. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hachik%C5%8D They even based a movie on it.
Dogs are very smart and have great memory.
