I don't think anyone will pay bitcoin for rent an avatar, but maybe someone will be interested (I don't think it is against the forum rules).
+1, avatar campaign will be popular here, it's similar to signature campaign. If the posters don't violate rules here, it's obvious that avatar campaign is reasonable and necessary. A new way to make BTCImagine many senior and hero members have one brand avatar, it should be very good brand exposure and marketing strategy. 0.15 BTC/week
Good rate, I think avatar campaign is more powerful than signature campaign. 0.15 btc or higher rate for hero member is ideal.

One of the biggest reason, is, it is not clickable. Second is if a lot of members wear the same brand logo, it will annoy other users. And it may not bring good publicity to it. But there are ways in which it could be done and kept under control, but then the efficacy will go down.

I think the OP will pay (if he will choose to start the avatar campaign) the same rate for Full member and above, essentially because they can put the same avatar so there is not a real difference between the ranks... or am I wrong? I agree with you, the avatar is not clickable but it will be the same effect of the tv ads. Here the important will be the views not the clicks and I don't think the staff will be against this option (but the final choice is from the admin).

I believe members should think about the possibility of Theymos disabling the avatar feature again if the forum is proliferated with avatar ad campaigns. Then members could be stuck with an ad avatar for a long time.

I think it is easier for him just to ask the avatar campaigners to stop, this IS his forum after all. and even if he does disable it, I'm sure there would be some kind of warning before that.

First of all avatar alone is not enough to promote anything in my opinion. Avatars are just a pictures. You can't click avatar like you click on in signature. The only way for avatar campaign to work is to combo signature+avatar and maybe even personal text. Secondly, every avatar is the same. There is no difference between full member's and legendary member's so why hero member should be paid more (again, the only reason is his signature).

Is changing avatar even possible Beacuse it has been disabled long back by the forum... It is now possible, forum crew fixed that option and every full member and above can have an avatar now. Animated gifs are prohibited tho... so if you had animated gif already as your avatar you are really lucky.

Wow, guys you are clever, I forget the avatar is not clickable, good idea. So the static avatar couldn't get big traffics to the website unless it's clickable, it's similar to TV ads or street ads, the promotion is limited. But I am not sure TV&street ads and internet ads, which one is more efficient?

They should make avatar linkable so that we can promote websites on our avatar & more opportunities for people to earn BTC. People can earn 0.08 BTC/week.0.04 BTC for signature and 0.04 BTC by avatar a week

I don't think the forum team will add this option, they are bored to see signatures and you think about avatar clickable?

The same thing for the signature space, but someone has thought to start selling that space. So why not also sell "our" avatar for 0.20 btc per month (price fixed , or pay per post scheme).

I think if avatars are to be sold, they should just be displayed like MarcoTheMiner's avatar, with his actual avatar on one side and the company name/logo on the other. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=147773That way, avatars can still be unique, and people can earn bitcoin without the forum getting spammed with the same avatar.
