Hello folks, my company commissioned me to deal with the big "Bitcoin" topic a month ago. Now when I feel I understood the technic aspects of bitcoin (and I find it amazing btw) I got an Investment Contract to do. My team got a capital of 100k+.
So now is my question: In what should we invest? Mining hardware? Cloud mining? Bitcoin startups? If someone of you guys can provide me a detailed plan with that I can work and present my OP I'm willed to pay 1 BTC.
If necessary I can provide a signed bitcoin address with 1 BTC. And excuse my bad english please.
Kind Regards!

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's
computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be
reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

The best and safest investment you can make is just buying bitcoin and hold it.
If you are able to assess bitcoin start ups, go for it, but 100k doesn't seem much money for that.
Don't buy hardware!

What does your company do? Maybe you could somehow incorporate Bitcoin into your current business model. Hardware is not the best investment, unless you could make your own. Cloud mining is even worse as it's very risky, most companies that did it ended up closed, bankrupt, or running with the money. The best and safest investment you can make is just buying bitcoin and hold it.
I'd say the safest is selling goods and services for Bitcoin. This way you don't even have to hold it to profit.

You have to invest into bitcoin or could it be some altcoin? If I would have such budget to invest into cryptocurrencies I would invest into monero - both in currency itself and some service development. It's bit risky because as far as I know it's code wasn't peer reviewed but you know, investing into bitcoin was also a risk some time ago. If it has to be a bitcoin I would invest into companies that allows you to buy bitcoins on high-street - bitcoins ATMs/ buying via payment systems available in shops like paypoint.

As a newbie i can only suggest buying low selling high or accepting bitcoin as payment. As far as I know mining is hard now and geting harder day by day, cloud mining mostly turns as scum. So i suggest buy/sell option.

100k is not the limit, we can go up to one M. What does your company do? Maybe you could somehow incorporate Bitcoin into your current business model. I'd say the safest is selling goods and services for Bitcoin. This way you don't even have to hold it to profit. We are an investment company based in Arabia. Thanks for your tips! ... I got an Investment Contract to do. My team got a capital of 100k+.

What for? What's the use of proof of BTC1 holding? No, my company did not send me here. I decided to ask for advice in a public forum. Just to proof you that I have one btc on my address that can be given away to someone who is willing to help me on this topic. You have to invest into bitcoin or could it be some altcoin? If I would have such budget to invest into cryptocurrencies I would invest into monero - both in currency itself and some service development. Monero? Never heard if it - will look into it. What does your company do? Maybe you could somehow incorporate Bitcoin into your current business model.
If that is possible that this way 100k would be best used. I don't think we can use bitcoin in our business model - we invest Fiat money into startups (angel investors) but we are looking into bitcoin now.

I can imagine your thread is real since all the latest news out there showing that established organizations try to jump on the topic. If you check the price development of bitcoins then you would need to have trading skills since you most probably wont get the permission to hold them with these fluctuations. If youre interested in interesting products or ideas then check the security subforums. Get ideas from there. The blockchain can be widely used. But beware of investments because practically every investment publicly advertised turn out the bad way. Beware of mining hardware. You need a calculator that includes the rising difficulty in order to make a real decision. Then add the uncertainty of the hardware developer delivering early enough or at all. Though there are offers out there for hosting with very low electricity prices you might consider when going that route. You might check out http://bit.ly/1uM1Tw9. The best route for an investment firm would be to have a promising business idea based on the blockchain.

1. Buy bitcoin at a low price and wait untill the price goes up and then sell it 2. Buy latest mining equipment and mine bitcoins at low electricity cost 3. By some altcoin low and sell it when it goes high, spikes happen quite often These three things come to my mind

If it's fine by you, may I ask what kind of business do you guys have? Also, if you're looking into adding bitcoins into your investments, why not integrate bitcoins into your existing business as well? Also, if you are offering services, try asking for bitcoin payments too. As for bitcoin investments, buying bitcoins can be considered as one. Trading is also a way to go but if you guys are not yet familiar on how bitcoin trading works, stay away from it first and try to educate yourself about it before going deeper. Hope your business succeeds!

Go to Bitfinex, create a business account, and provide the 100K as swappable USD balance. Currently paying around 40%+ yearly interest (50%+ if you factor in compounding interest). You will make much more this way than just about anything else you can do with bitcoin. The only other possible way to make this type of return is if you buy bitcoin and the price doubles (in which case buy and hold bitcoin).

And wait for bitfinex being hacked and then you lost all your assets. Keeping money online is never good idea. I am lacking information whether op wants to create bitcoin related business, like opening exchange market in his country, or just want to incorporate bitcoin payments to his already existing company or just create new branch related to cryptocurrencies. Possibilities are endless here.

the best thing to do right now is to buy bitcoin, after all the crash a rise is more expected than another crash, chances are against a possible dump, so it should be relatively safe to buy bitcoin right now
don't invest in any HW, they need 6+ months to roi(with free electricity)
you can at the very least play with some altcoin, but without some serious experience in trading(don't know how goo you are at it) it is very risky

I would suggest you to try out Cloud Mining. It is a little risky area, but as an investor u must be knowing that every investment has some associated risk. I am an individual and does not have a deep pocket. Back in November, I invested 0.11 BTC in www.CloudMining.website. A lot of people asked me not to, but still I did. Today, I have already made ROI and running on profit. Proof: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=852857.0There are also third party review services that have reported ROI on www.CloudMining.website. Proof: http://www.cmmonitor.com/24-cloudmining-website.htmlwww.CloudMining.website is paying consistently for last five months now... Payment Proof: www.cloudmining.website/payments.phpCloud Mining is better than hardware mining as you have far less headache. If you think, my advise helped you, you may PM me for my BTC address. GooD Luck...

Definitively Bitcoin startups, for mining you need extra cheap electricity you can get and easy cooling (cold area). About Bitcoin startups, think very critical if the idea Bitcoin startup come with has chance to be successfull + bring revenue

I would suggest to take a look BTC start-ups as your primary target. After all the technology behind BTC is extremely valuable. 100k s not enough to invest into cloud mining.
Also, there are a few interesting PoS coins I would recommend, I can even connect you directly with one or two of dev teams, free of charge, cause I am a nice guy.

Advice: Take any advice given here with a large pinch of salt. Especially when it comes to alt coins, which people have great incentive to promote irrespective of whether they have long term value. Lots of deluded people with great promises willing to take your money and deliver nothing.
But, bitcoin startups.

Just buy Bitcoin. Seriously, the mining business is risky as hell. Never invest in a new mining startup, as the chances for them to go bust is much too high now. Also they need a lot more money than just $100k. Seriously, just hold on to the coins and thank us later

Be warned that Bitcoin as a whole is still a pretty woolly area legally. The law wasn't ready for it, there's a lot of uncertainty, and there are, predictably, scammers and fraudsters trying to take advantage of that uncertainty. It's been getting better lately as the law catches up a little and figures out how to do their jobs here. But the scammers are still around. Making a bet that they're planning how to get you to "invest" your money in their next house in the Bahamas would be a pretty good investment. That said? An investment in mining could be a good idea if and only if you live in an area with heavily subsidized electrical utilities and/or can work out a sweetheart deal that gets you at least a 50% discount on electricity. Some people are installing bitcoin miners as electric heaters in chilly areas, which gets them free electricity out of what homeowners or business owners are willing to pay for utility costs for heating. Otherwise, mining reliably loses money for two reasons. First, because you're competing with people who do their mining in exactly those conditions. And second, because at least a few of them are deliberately mining at a loss, either as an expensive way to speculate on a future price rise or as a premium they're willing to pay for the "virgin coins" they mine, which have no transaction history whatsoever and, if spent carefully, cannot be traced at all. Ummm, yeah, that probably means exactly what it sounds like it means if you're paying attention. Like I said, you should be very careful about whom you do business with and what business you do, because the law is catching up and the sort of people who are likely to come to their attention are by no means gone. An investment in Bitcoin startups would be best for the community as a whole, but for the investor it's a risky play. Could be astoundingly lucrative depending on what happens, but.... I guess it depends on how much money your coalition has to invest in the *whole* portfolio that determines how much you can put on something risky. Probably the most reliably profitable, least risky, and lowest-margin bitcoin business right now would be a currency exchange. Right now there are dozens of players trying to be currency exchanges - and federal money transmitter laws are removing many of them from the business, so if you can navigate that legal maze the competition is getting weeded out for you as we speak. But on that score you'd have to act pretty fast, because there are already some big players moving. It's not just the Winklevii either; there are some sharper, faster-moving businessmen in some of those startups. Second on the list is people who supply payment services; Joe merchant wants to accept Bitcoin at his truck stop bar & grill, but doesn't want the bother and complexity of managing it himself. Payment services guy steps in and sets him up with the appropriate secured equipment, shows him how to use it, processes payments for him, etc. Bitcoin here is a competitive advantage over Visa etc, because the per-transaction costs are lower. That is, the bitcoin-to-bitcoin transaction costs are lower. If you're paying an exchange to convert to and from other forms of money, you'll want to aggregate bitcoins to make fewer and smaller tx at the exchanges. Or, you know, do vertical integration and be the exchange as well as the payment services provider.

The best tip is hold your coins! Don't invest in hardware! Don't invest in "cloud mining". Don't invest in securities! Don't invest in altcoins! I do not think that your point number 1 is valid strategy for a company. They will have stagnant economy with little flow it is better to have business when you will be earning coins on daily basis. Unless you have a lot of capital and and gearing for a long time strategy holding is not good option for business imo.

Mining hardware?
Probably not. There are a lot of scams in the mining world as many manufacturers either do not deliver at all or are horribly delayed in delivering their miners. Even if you do receive hardware and on time, the difficulty is more or less expected to rise at a quick enough pace so that it is unlikely that you will achieve a return on your investment after considering electric costs. Cloud mining? This has similar problems as buying mining hardware, however almost all cloud mining companies are scams. The ones that are not outright scams eventually end up scamming. In addition to the issue of the difficulty rising, you will have additional expenses when "cloud mining" because an additional company will need to earn a profit Bitcoin startups? This would probably be the best of your options. Although you will need to ensure that you are not investing in a scam. The good thing about investing in a startup that is already somewhat established is that the startup will likely benefit/profit in the event that crypto currencies are successful in general - they don't need bitcoin specifically to be successful; this is important because although bitcoin is so far superior to other alt/shit coins it does not mean that a supperior coin will not come at one point in time. Two companies that come to mind are coinbase and circle. Another option would be to invest in bitcoin ATM's (this has been mentioned once or twice already). When someone would buy or sell bitcoin at your ATM they would pay a slightly above or below (depending if they are buying or selling bitcoin to you) market price and you would get to keep the difference between the market price and the rate your customer pays/receives. You would probably want to keep both bitcoin and fiat at a major exchange in order to hedge transactions done at your ATM and can likely have it setup so that when someone buys bitcoin from your ATM that the bitcoin is automatically sold on the exchange so you do not have exchange rate risk If I qualify for your bounty then my address is 1Dgehu7u9te73wpQyE4jwqv68v7PQXMi5W

SuperNET is a movement of volunteer participants who will donate their time and money to support a radical new cryptocurrency initiative. SuperNET itself is not a cryptocurrency. Participation in SuperNET and distribution of any revenues it may generate in the future will be denoted by ownership of cryptoTokens given in exchange for donations. (Membership may later be passed on by participants to others, in return for a further donation to the original participants if desired. This activity will be facilitated by traditional cryptocurrency exchanges.) The idea behind SuperNET is simple but powerful: to create a mutually beneficial network of coins that offer real innovation. It will take the form of a basket of key cryptocurrencies and revenue-generating services. SuperNET plans to achieve its aims by acquiring a significant (10 percent market cap) stake in participating coins with promising technology, adding further value by cross-marketing their features and providing additional services. The features of each core coin will be made available to all of the others through a GUI embedded in the wallets of participating coins. SuperNET participants and core coin communities may potentially be rewarded by goodwill payments similar to dividends from a series of integrated linked services, as well as through any possible appreciation in value to the core cryptocurrencies brought about by the collaboration and sharing of features and services. Only coins that bring one or more unique features to the network will be added to the core, though any other cryptocurrency can benefit from these features on a third-party basis. (For example, Litecoin would not be eligible for addition to SuperNET. However, it would still have access to Teleport, InstantDEX and other services. Ultimately, it is hoped that SuperNET will attract greater talent and wealth into cryptocurrency from fiat, strengthening cryptocurrency overall by rewarding innovation, talent and commitment. SuperNET is not designed to replace Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, but to enable cryptocurrency to compete more effectively with the fiat economy. This is the cause to which participants commit themselves. http://www.supernet.org/https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=762346.0

With that size of funding maybe you can consider setting up a bitcoin exchanger site or a crypto currency trading platform. On top of that you could offer remittance services particularly in locations where there is a lot of foreign labor who has a need to send money abroad back to their home country. Or it could involve purely in crypto trading where right now the standard trading fee is something like 0.5%. You could get an experienced software developer to develop your own trading api platform and then hire people for the marketing part to promote your services. The most challenging part is perhaps how to maintain security to the wallets. You will need people with a lot of technical know how to guide you through on that.

if you visit the "securities" section of this forum you will find every single one offered has caused its investors losses. the ones that haven't tanked are well on their way. its basically penny stocks in the 80s over there, avoid at all costs.
I would buy BTC and a hardware wallet. wait 5 years. that is all.
100k is not enough to get in on the promising btc businesses.
you could try leveraged trading with some of your btc, and if you are from finance you will know how to do it, but your safest bet is to hold btc.

No thanks. We do not need another altcoin, even better technologically that bitcoin. We just need strong and secure bitcoin. If we can achieve that future is ours, instead we are distracted by various projects with little chance of success. Look what happened to PayCoin would-be bitcoin killer.

I look for projects that serve as a platform that BTC businesses can interact with each other and their users. That way the parties can thrive on exposing BTC the most in the same platform. I see SendChat is achieving that by partnering with many parties and creating an app that would offer all their services. Having more of a chance to bring BTC to the main public.
