We're still getting to much stale/rejected work.
We are working on it, trust me.

This is however not such a big issue, as the 50 BTC is divided among all users helped contributing to that block.
... and the whole pool is "suffering" of problems with stale/rejected/duplicated work.

As long as everyone is getting about the same rejectionrate (which everybody are) it's not an BIG issue. No loss of money at all.

On other notes, we have now implemented translations for the site to both French and Spanish!
If you want to see the site in you language, please fork our github and add your own translation (POEdit recommended)
https://github.com/jine/Bitcoins.lc-localized

And by the way, the last nasty block of 2 million shares was solved a couple of hours ago.

When one block has been calculated in the Bitcoin network it verifies the authenticity of your funds. When your funds are verified you can choose the instant payout option in the settings menu to transfer your BTC from the pool to your wallet, providing your funds are above 0.01BTC, which is the fee that the Bitcoin network takes for every transaction; a fee that bitcoins.lc pays without touching your precious coins.

I don't understand. It'll cost .01 to get that money transferred to my account?

I haven't transferred funds out of my account yet -- so I can't definitively answer your question; however I interpreted this the same way.

Something to note however; once the trading features go live for bitcoins.lc it won't really matter as you would not be required to move the coins anywhere else to exchange them; provided it is your intent to sell them of course.

That's a fair point.

Also, what's the askrate for bitcoins.lc? I'm getting about 10% rejected. Sad

That rejected rate is about the same for everyone due to pushpoold/bitcoind handing out duplicate work for some reason we haven't been able to nail down - so your proportion of the block will be exactly the same as it would be anywhere else, except here you don't pay any fee Smiley

Ps. Someone above said they were having luck with a 3s ask rate, personally I get around 5-6% with a 1s ask rate.

Default is 15 or 6 for some miners, so anything below that will improve the stale rates. Some blocks get solved in less than 2 minutes (2011-06-09 09:03:01   0:01:11, 2011-06-09 02:10:16   0:00:34, 2011-06-08 22:35:52   0:01:14) which means you can still be working on the old block while your shares won't be accepted on the new block.

Should we even play with that when the pool supports LP anyway?

Offhand I can't say it's a big impact but let's say 10% equals an effective has rate 10% lower then it could be and in turn an average of a 10% longer time to solve.......

IDD, having a 10% stale rate means that i'm having 10% less BTC that i could potentially having. The fact that everyone is in my same situation simply means that the pool is finding blocks 10% slower than it could.
It doesn't change a bit if everyone is getting 10% stales or if i'm the only one, the results are the same.

There is a very high variance on it, some rounds I get 10+% and some rounds I get 2-3%, all in all it averages around 5-6% and thats about the figure most people on IRC seem to give as well.

But long as sort is that we are trying very hard to fix it, trust me I am hating C and Pushpool more than you care to imagine right now but we think we have an idea but implementing it is proving... troublesome.

I seem to be getting quite a high reject rate at the moment from bitcoins.lc - e.g. one of my miners is 6225 accepted 421 rejected, that's over 6%.  Is there any way I can reduce this?

Shares: 244 / 279 (12.55% stales)  Angry

Sorry, but I'm switching over to my previous pool because of this. There's no point about joining a 0% fee pool if I end mining 7% less than in the pool with the highest fees around. Hell, at least at deepbit part of my coins are reinvested to improve and mantain the service, here they are just wasted for the sake of nothing.

I like your pool, i really do, but this is unacceptable. Just let me rant my humble advice: this issue should be your #1, first, most important, absolute, primary concern. Before every added stat, feature or eyecandy, you should really fix this ASAP or you see all your userbase leaving your pool.
