Ever since I got news that Intersango,a main exchange I used to use for every trade,is having issues and is constantly delaying my trades so that by the time they finally trade,I get short changed (sort of).I was forced to cancel my order when I saw that something wasn't right. If you want to address my issues, please come and help Intersango as my patience is running out.

Example-Yesterday,I placed an order of ~9.49BTC for a price of £10.20 for each BTC.The price jumped and then plummeted down to ~£8 even though I saw people buying at that rate on other exchanges as I heard one guy successfully sold for $15.20 per BTC during the boom on a different exchange (I presume) at about a similar time frame I made my order (I guess as it seemed quick).

I'm looking for a new exchange that is:
a.Reputable/reliable
b.Trades are carried out more quickly than Intersango.
c.Have some form of recourse in case I have issues
d.Let me trade from BTC to GBP.
e.Good customer service is a must as I can't afford any more screw ups like I highlighted above.

I know about Mt Gox and Bitmarket.eu but what are they like?

BTC-E has demonstrated itself to be reliable but don't offer BTC/GBP trades in my experience.

Any suggestions would help thanks.

Hi,

Have a look at http://bit2brit.co.uk, you can buy and sell BTC here, and trade btc for gbp: http://bit2brit.co.uk/sell-bitcoins-uk at a good exchange rate. You can receive your GBP via Wire Transfer within 3 hours of block confirmation of your btc, or same day dispatch bank notes via Royal Mail Special Delivery.

We are based in the UK and offer personal meetings to trade large sums over 2k.

Please PM me or email me at info@bit2brit.co.uk if you have any questions.

Best Regards,
The Bit2Brit Team

Have a look at bit2brit.co.uk

There are unanswered questions about this exchange that was launched by someone not recognized as having participated yet in the Bitcoin community (i.e., consider using an escrow if doing a trade.)

I recommend bitstamp.

They can accept bank wires in a number of currencies including £, which are converted to $ on receipt.

Payout of bitcoins is fast - they arrive in less than 60 seconds.

I have found that the exchange works well and that customer support seems good.

Thanks for the reponses guys.I'll have a look at the bit2brit exchange as well as using an escrow as it looks like I'll be dealing with lesser known exchanges (not a bad thing in itself/more of a common sense thing to use escrow if unsure) from this point on in the future as it looks like it'll be much harder to trade BTC to GBP in UK due to the climate there.

The exchange into bank notes that get delivered certainly sounds interesting as it'll be the first I know of in the UK but my question is can I really trust Royal mail for this? They don't have a flawless reputation and many people I know have had issues with them with things being lost in transit.

I'll stick with wire transfer (bank account) as it'll be quicker/safer than royal mail.

What's the website for bitstamp and are they reputable? As I'd like to check them out.
