Hi, I'm new and excited about Qora.

I can't seem to access http://qora.co.in:9090/ -- it won't respond on the port.  Is this working for anybody else?

agran already knows about this but he is currently on vacation. He will fix it as soon as he has some time. In the meantime you can use the local blockexplorer of your wallet (which has exactly the same functions).

qora.co.in is owned and run by one of the developer (agran). Vrontis, vbcs, agran and me are the developer working on qora in general. This is no fix group, if you or anyone else know something about java you are welcome to join...this project needs any help it can get.

Thank you to the Qora dev team Smiley

It would be great if the community could fund a 'project manager' to help the dev team with things like marketing and infrastructure.

That's the main development team, but there's also the AT team working on pairing Qora with Bitcoin (also Litecoin and Burst) so that you can trade directly between the blockchains without using an exchange.

This sounds really amazing. Is there a timetable when this feature will be released?

Could be a real killer app for Qora to get a huge push.

Please go to poloniex.com or ccedk.com to buy QORA. Bter isn't recommended anymore.

The highest volume is on poloniex!

Speaking of development: does Qora have the tech to directly compete with this announced alt? Ian seems to think that Qora can.

Speaking of development: does Qora have the tech to directly compete with this announced alt? Ian seems to think that Qora can.

We have a full working decentralized social network with like, share, follow and so on. Every person can create own decentralized blogs with own rules (who is able to post and so on), websites etc.
So from the first glance we have that tech already, yes. Of course you need the qora client to perform an action, yes. We could also create a webserver that allows logging into an account and perfoming an action, but there is always a trust issue regarding those centralized webserver, so it's better if every user just uses his own client to prevent misuse or loss of coins and keep everything real decentralized.

Edit:
If I am not mistaken the MaskNetwork just has webnodes (that everyone can create) where you can login with your account and then make a post if your account has enough currency. So it will of course be hard to take all of them out yes, but you have to trust those nodes that they don't take your private key when you login and make a transaction. They seem to have some security methods like frozen addresses and one time passwords, but how do I set them up without an own trusted local client? If I create them on one of those nodes the owner of that node can read them too?

Please use the faucet at http://qora.co.in, it's currently well funded.
