Also I was a bit unsure how PPC revenue should be calculated, are block rates for PoS and PoW created at different rates?  I want to know the total growth in market cap for the coin from all sources so I took the numbers from http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency which says blocks are 10 minutes, rewards are 400 and valuation relative to BTC is 0.00225, did I miss the PoS generation and is their a way to measure it?  http://dustcoin.com/mining lists a market capitalization for PPCoin so I assume it is possible to get a grand total.  If I've made an error and a proper calculation can be provided I will try to see that it's corrected in any future graphs.

Thanks Impaler for the excellent work. As for the calculation to ppcoin mining revenue, the simple way is probably just think of 2 blocks per hour, and ignore the stake minting as it's too small compared to proof-of-work. But this is not going to be accurate as the proof-of-work spacing varies heavily. If you need more accuracy, you can count the number of proof-of-work blocks in the last 24 hours, alternatively you can take daily snapshot of the money supply statistics.

Here, I altered the design just a little bit to connect the two P's at the top and in the middle so it doesn't look like it says IP anymore. What do you think? I actually like the P symbol more now that it's squished closer together. It looks better than the spaced out version we were working with.

This is Excellent!!!!!
I agree this one here is perfect.

This catches the eye in a good way. Has my vote.
Ditto for me.
I really like the single leaf versus the multi. It feels/looks clean and simple. The version that has the 4 leaves on it seems too busy to me, but maybe that's just me.

This one is the best so far IMO. Just one little criticism: The 3d view of the coin doesn't really look like a coin. IMO it's too thick, and the PP should be embossed into the coin's surface (or the other way round). And some kind of corrugated edge might look better. Right now it just looks too clean to be real money Tongue

Hello, I made sure I was let out of the noob section just so I could join in on the conversation.  Smiley

Personally I quite like the suggestions Detail3 shows. Picking one would be hard but I'd favor one with the higher horizontal bar and I think the faint globe lends itself to the image that it can be a truly global currency.

I also like Mjbmonetarymetals' "Redefining the Nature of Currency" tagline and the "P2P" within the "C" of coin. I know Sunny is tired of the pee pee coin debate but I think giving further allusions to PPcoin's meaning is good. Else do as he suggested and refer to it as Peercoin.

Being that I like aspects of both designs, I wonder if it would be possible for Detail3 to have his designers work their coins to better fit in Mjbmonetarymetals' larger design?

Glad I could finally be let out of the Noob section and hopefully you don't mind my first post being my two bits worth here. I'm quite excited about Peercoin and would love to see it's further development and adoption. Seems to have a great community too.

Just a thought but :

When designing logos people often produce very impressive high resolution artwork with a full range of colours which looks great when reproduced in full colour.

This can lead to problems when later the logo is reproduced at a lower resolution and using less colours.

A prime example of this is having some devices (promotional items, etc) pad printed, screen printed or embroidered where spot colours and often lower resolutions apply. Lower resolutions and spot colours apply in the case of embroidery. Lots of colours when screen / pad printing leads to greatly increased costs.

For example - here's a link to about 150 of the Fortune 500 logo's : http://www.raizlabs.com/blog/2008/04/24/fortune-500-logos/

I'm not suggesting that a full colour version isn't nice for the web but a simplified version could also come in useful for other purposes.

I made a ppcoin tip bot , you can now tip forum members without knowing or requiring them to have ppc address.

So, how do I calculate based on my balance and age of coins, what my PoS stake reward will be, what difficulty the block will be(and time to solve it)?

That looks great. Perhaps we could still use some more consensus on what the official logo should be and I do think the official home page could use just a short description of what Peercoin is. However, if nothing was changed from what you've done there it would still be a great improvement on what's at the official page now. I like the simple, clean design. It lends credibility to the project. Smiley

Just wanted to let you know that the DNS seed isn't working again. I can manually add a node to bootstrap the process, but if there is something that needs to be done on the backend, just thought I'd let you know.

Great to be back mining PPC again. Been a while.

EDIT: And it seems to be stuck downloading the last four blocks of the chain, too.

Did I help you today, or just like my style? Toss a couple coins my direction!
