There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

This is optimistic but I agree, it is possible. Just look at the growth today. If Bitcoin doubles in 2018 to 30k USD, this means PPC is 10 USD so it just needs to grow 5 times in BTC price to reach that goal, $50. If Peer Tokens get released in 2018, anything is possible for PeerCoin. |

I am hodling  I don't own many Peercoins (as I already said somewhere, I got a bit disappointed by the slow development before 2017). But Peercoin was, together with Namecoin, one of the "big old altcoins" that once competed with LTC but now have a much lower value. I see big potential if the current development speed continues. The new developments in Proof of Stake (e.g. Snow White, Cardano) should benefit Peercoin if they prove to be secure, and Peercoin should do the same like Litecoin has done with Segwit: take new research/developments from other open source coins to improve themselves. |

Been a while since I was involved in this coin. Sad to come back now and see the price has gone down since 2013 when I was buying at about $6.
I still think this coin is solid and i'm buying a few more now at $4 since the recent updates. Anyone think this coin can ever meet half Bitcoins value?
