This is a great looking bit of kit! I've already got an RPi2 however and it's running a node. I'd love to know if someone could do a similar setup on the RPi, especially with the screen and such.

If I hadn't bought an RPi2 recently, I'd be all over this!

I would get this but 168 USD!!!!?? I could build a cheaper one with a raspberry pi and it would work just as well.

Definitely seems nice with the dashboard and the nice display, but I can get a quad-core 900MHz processor over this quad-core 600MHz processor as well as the same 1GB SDRAM from a Raspberry Pi 2 for only $35. You're paying a lot for aesthetics there...I guess for people who aren't too fussed about saving cash and want something that's much easier to setup this is good, though.

Definitely seems nice with the dashboard and the nice display, but I can get a quad-core 900MHz processor over this quad-core 600MHz processor as well as the same 1GB SDRAM from a Raspberry Pi 2 for only $35. You're paying a lot for aesthetics there...I guess for people who aren't too fussed about saving cash and want something that's much easier to setup this is good, though.

The ODROID-C1 base board is priced at $35 as well. You are not paying anything for aesthetics for Bitnodes Hardware as most of the cost goes to the 8GB eMMC and 64GB microSD.

I see. I don't know about the cost of the eMMC, I can pick up a 64GB microSD for just under £20 though (that comes to around ~$30). I suppose if the eMMC has a similar cost then the price of the thing as a whole is reasonable, because obviously you can't expect the whole thing to cost the same as the cost of the parts used to make it.

I have started to ship since yesterday (Friday AEST). However, due to the current backlog, new orders are now scheduled for dispatch latest by June 22.

There's more to the cost than the hardware alone. The nifty web interface and the code that runs on the board all require a good amount of development time, that isn't free.

Does anyone know how long one of these would last? Let's assume that conditions are near-perfect and the hardware isn't subjected to any dropping, hitting, extreme heat, etc, and that it's being run continuously. I'm just curious, understandable if no-one is able to give a solid answer to a question like that.
