Does Costa Rica have like an online company directory so we look at the details of this corporation?

Yeah, you can get/verify the details at the national registry of costa rica ( rnpdigital.com ). The basic records are free and you can check online.

After you create an account and log in, you go to: "Consultas Gratuitas" and then under "Personas Juridicas" look for "Consulta por Nombre Social" and type in "MoneyPot" and you'll see us there =)

Check out gamblingsitefinder.com for a decent list/rankings of crypto casinos. Note: I have no affiliation or interest in it, and don't even agree with all the rankings ... but it's the only uncorrupted review site I'm aware of.

Hey Ryan, not sure if this has been asked yet, but are there plans to accept any altcoins later? Like allow betting through CLAM, DOGE, LTC, whatever?

Do they also have information of the company owners available? Just for transparency?

There is some free info about the registration, but I do not think that has owners. There are some Paid documents, so I assume this could have that kind of info. Personally not interested to pay for that though.

I'm a bit of a bitcoin purist at heart, so unless something hugely changed in the landscape I don't have any plans to add altcoins now or the future. e.g. While I don't think it will, and hope it won't, but for pragmatic reasons might be forced to add a "BitcoinXT/BitcoinCore" currencies if bitcoin continuously forked and both held value

Check out gamblingsitefinder.com for a decent list/rankings of crypto casinos. Note: I have no affiliation or interest in it, and don't even agree with all the rankings ... but it's the only uncorrupted review site I'm aware of.

Probably the primary advantage for is that it lends MoneyPot more legitimacy, and establishes a paper-trail to both the entity and me personally. And probably the primary disadvantage is that the limited-liability aspect of a company (i.e. the company can independently go bankrupt to me).

But really, it's just an expensive piece of paper that points back to me, which I hope gives people some confidence that I'm not just a cheap pop-up scam.

thanks for taking the time for the explanation. there will always be people who will not trust anyone
even not themselves Smiley

I don't know how much it is worth but I personally fully trust moneypot and RHavar. and imo there are many out there who think like wise

If you look in the MP deposit address list, it'll tell you what each address goes to, Smiley.

As people mentioned, check the deposit address in: https://www.moneypot.com/me/receive

and it lists how much money has been received there (confirmed and unconfirmed) and also if it is associated with a particular app or not.

If there's an issue please use the support link at the top of every page.

Using that support leads to much faster responses (the large majority of issues get a handled within an hour, as I get notifications on support issues, but only check the forums when procrastinating), and if you are logged in, it authenticates you and contains your account information which allows me to look into it for you and communicate with you in a direct/private matter.

There is a new app on moneypot, 'Masterdice' that has horrific odds and is basically trying to scam people.

I posted the following in their thread and it got INSTANTLY deleted, as it's a self-moderated thread:

Anyone betting on this site is a massive mark as the "expected profit" is 50%.

FIFTY PERCENT!!!

Seriously, just look at what you risk/win.  If you bet @ 2x odds (1 to win 1), the chance is 24.5%.  This site has probably the worst odds anywhere on the internet.  STAY AWAY! (and pay attention before you bet)

Thanks for letting me know. I've posted on the thread, and temporary disabled API access for their app until they take some steps to be less misleading.

Are they misleading, though? That's a big question. If they're upfront, I see it being no different than a HYIP -- people can do as they wish. If they are claiming to have better odds, though, that's a problem.

If anyone wants to offer a 50% house edge, and users want to play a game where they're basically handing the casino money, I don't have a problem with it. But considering how highly unusual this is, I think they should take steps to make this extremely clear and explicit.

Showing the winning chance is good, but many people aren't fully aware of how this translates to house edge

Based on the image above, I think it's pretty clear, really. Shows chance to win, as well as profit (most sites won't show profit from the roll). To me, that's a good enough sign. I don't see any trickery there.
