The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

so is the idea behind this similar to a bank in how it pays interest? you must be doing something with the bitcoins deposited other than letting them just sit there if youre paying out an interest, just dont see it being out of generosity.

We invest the users' funds in mining.

Sounds fishy, i do not suggest any deposit until/unless they prove the partnership with Bitmain and maybe a photo of Datacenter/Farm, because it's just like a "cloud mining" website but advertised as "wallet with interest".

Also, website isn't fully translated to English.

We are a Chinese company and primarily focus on Chinese users. We will soon have a UI redesign with professional translation.

Can you show a picture that shows a person holding up a sign that says haobtc.com
Well, we just did:
https://twitter.com/HaoBTC/status/588592662560702464

These simple things and quick responses build confidence. Good PR work so far. I might try your wallet service with interest when you have everything translated on your site.

Thanks. HaoBTC is the first BTC company that allows visitations because we value transparency and try to be as honest as we can. A number of people have already expressed interest in visiting - including Anders of BitReserve, and Jeremy of Danwei.

I've come across something quite important that malfunctioned, I've left you a message regarding it (I won't disclose it publicly).

Other than that, interest payments are working perfectly.

what's the interest rate?

I get 5%+ APR for holding BitUSD in my LOCAL wallet for example.

The interest rate is floating. Right now it is 9.09% but I have seen it to be as high as 11% at some point and lower than the current rate. I haven't seen it lower than 8% during the three months that I have been using it.

If by APR you mean annual percentage rate, yes

Made a withdrawal request 16 hrs ago * time is UTC +8*. It says pending & still pending. Btc have not been sent out yet. Before service is really fast but seems to be slacking.

that causes a lose-lose situation.

1. i make less interest since the withdrawal is pending

- will there be compensation for interest lost  if "x" amount of time has passed

2. receiver do not receive the btc sent from my account making it very inconvenient for both parties thus may create a "trust" issue between sender & receiver

3. the sender "misses" an opportunity to sell the btc in order to make a profit at that particular point of time

i am not trying to create a fuss or fud, definitely NOT intending to do so. Understood that haobtc is relatively new & trying to improve.

I hope all this small issues can be ironed out ASAP.

All the 3 situation has happened to me 3 times *this is 3rd* & they were responded to & solved fairly quickly. i hope the ddos attack on 好btc is being sorted out too.

I have also recommended friends to join & without questioning me he/she deposited 10 btc instantly. Do not wish to give myself a bad name & the repo going down the drain.

Will ask the dev team for explanation.  I myself had a slow withdrawal a couple days ago - money sent about four hours after the request made. Was told by the CTO that the site was DDoSed.

I was told that the transfer has been processed - it was caused by human error. All the transfers are processed manually. I think because more people are using our service now our team is a bit stressed by the increased workload.
