Ok,

Here we are, reopening the sites modules (OZC, DGB and OKCash) - Balances are live!

Claimants must now Tweet their claim via the Tweet button on the Claim Validation page! This feature has been tested but if you have any feedback please let us know!

Thanks

Bates,
Thanks for your teams hard work and efforts, however I have a small issue with this latest update:
Not to be rude or anything but I really dislike this tweeting feature and I think it was an unwise decision to add this as an excuse to deter bots, as it would mean spamming our own legitimate twitter accounts with the same posts - I cannot claim on a daily basis now because it would make zero sense to tweet the same content over and over...

A botter or random user who doesnt actually use twitter would however be able to create an account and tweet these CG posts on a daily basis without any problems or worries about spam and irritating their followers. With that being said, this requirement seems a little illogical in my opinion.
I don't know what others think of this, but I for one do not want to be ignored by my twitter peers in order to be able to claim on the website. Should I create a new fake twitter account just so i can claim from CG on a daily basis? <-- that would be a little silly wouldn't you say?

As it stands this faucet is now unusable in my eyes - at least not with my personal twitter account being used.

Additionally, I would love to hear what others have to say about this.

Perhaps as an idea, you could change this up a little to for example make tweeting a requirement for each coin on a ONCE per month (or week although even this is too much for not very active twitter accounts) basis or something along those lines. It would make a hell of a lot more sense than having to tweet every single claim - that's just absurd as I am not very active on twitter and my feed would end up just being a wall with hundreds of CG tweets.....

Please ponder a little about this issue as I no longer wish to use CG due to this latest "feature", and im going by the assumption that there are others who might feel the same way.

Thanks!
Also note that twitter might be flagging these tweets as spam and blocking user accounts - I am unsure if this is related to the frequency of posting or something else but worth looking into

Hey all,

Yes it seems we have an issue with Gmail but it is an intermittent issue - Checking over our database I can see emails sent out to gmail accounts where the claim has been approved then claim emails sent out to gmail accounts where the email hasn't been received but there is no pattern.

I understand the point made about spamming accounts - talking to Twitter support they said this shouldn't be an issue but it may be the fact that people are creating multiple Twitter accounts following claiming multiple times on the website and Twitter will class this as a spammer/bot from their side and block the account.

No system is perfect but I'll be leaving it another week or so, so we can sit down and assess where to go next.

Out of 655 valid claims received, 451 were tweeted. We still investigating a few issues with gmail but most issues seems to have passed now.

We are near the end of our report into the new feature and will make an announcement soon to its future.

Claims are continuing to be paid as we progress. We have had a large spike in users claiming but not tweeting the claim (Over 70% of our claim total for a week!)

Still a lot to research and some changes in the planning so keep an eye out!

Overall spam has been reduced but we are not sure if its 100% the best way to move forward - Updates will follow.

We are evaluating where we go next with CryptoGiveaways.

We have had a few offers for both the domain and service, with another combined offer for both received. Development on the giveaway site has taught us a lot and opened a lot of doors for us. We've built it from the ground up over the years, we've had awesome feedback from the community and awesome support.

We also have the BitcoinGiveaways.org domain available, we were planning to this domain as part of a wider giveaway program but decided to put this up for sale separately.

Funds would help with the development of other projects at the minute but we haven't made a final decision yet, we'll keep you posted.

We're going to be re-opening CGA to run through a few tests and giveaway the rest of the current wallet funds.

We working to re-sync the wallets and update the balances. We'd also like to see if anyone would be interested in reviewing the coin information on the site, (Found by clicking the coins circle logo)

Link: https://cryptogiveaways.org

We've had some interest in the sale/purchase of the site and service so that is something we are exploring.
