hi, I wanted to use bitcoind.exe for some bot purposes, and I have been running bitcoind overnight.....its been almost 10-15 hours! Is this how long its supposed to take? All I see is this in the log (example):

addUnchecked(): size 665
CTxMemPool::accept() : accepted 8bbd5867ac
askfor tx a0362243018272153503   0
sending getdata: tx a0362243018272153503
addUnchecked(): size 666
CTxMemPool::accept() : accepted a036224301
received getdata for: tx a0362243018272153503
askfor tx 14edb9b53eb882d9f2ce   0
sending getdata: tx 14edb9b53eb882d9f2ce
addUnchecked(): size 667
CTxMemPool::accept() : accepted 14edb9b53e

I added the necessary conf files also...

bitcoind runs forever until you kill it.  What are you expecting it to do?

LOL, yea I just figured it out. I thought it was downloading the blockchain or something. I launched it via cmd line and it gave no feedback. I can now access the api, was a noob mistake Smiley

I always wondered why it does not tell you about it. Something like bitcoin node launched, connect via "bitcoind help".
