No problem. You don't need dry ice for something like this, plus shipping companies are not fans of dry ice in the air. Cold bricks are the way to go.

I say freeze your food, then stick it in the insulated shipper with cold bricks. That way it should be still nice and solid by the time it arrives.

I recommend testing it out first. After freezing stuff it tends to change taste, get freezer burn, etc.. Test out the perfect baking directions after arrival or microwave... something like that. Ship the heating directions on the box or something.

I would even box a few up, then let them sit in an area with a consistent higher temperature. Open a box each day to give you an idea of how long they would last through shipping.

I hope they keep well, they are tin foiled, ziplocked, bubble enveloped, and taped up. I hope it can survive the trip that way Smiley

It was a net loss of 1.75. It was a trial run no sales yet Tongue If an objective random person on the internet across the country likes them then we will start peddling them Smiley But the actual amounts we send will be more than what we sent him. We sent 7 thin, 7 fluffy homemade flour tortillas.

Could you post some pictures?

Looks like I missed the trial run but if all went well I look forward to seeing what it cost to buy some.

Well within the USA it looks like shipping will run ~6.50ish (This may be less I am rounding up about 50 cent) Then the cost of each tortilla my wife said she would do a batch of 30 for 10.50 so about 1.5 btc for 30 homemade tortillas (Yes you can freeze them to make them last too, but dont microwave them to thaw them they thaw pretty quick.)

Sorry to hijack, but would anyone be interested in some jarred Alfredo sauce? I promise it blows away any off the shelf stuff you get at your local grocery store.

Now they need a new subforum for "Perishable Goods" or "Grocery goods" or simply "Food"
