Have been working on building businesses around Bitcoin for 2 and a half years. Main goal is to reach the everyday user.

Just recently joined the BlockTrail team, which provides Bitcoin API for developers and enterprises, as well as a block explorer.

Help out also by going to meetups and conferences, etc.

Also tweet daily and constantly about bitcoin here: www.twitter.com/bitentrepreneur

Nice job, followed you on twitter Smiley

I mint silver coins with engraved key pairs and developed an iOS App.  I also operate NastyMining and am a popular escrow agent.

Nice art, i like when people combine physical goods (precious metal) with ethereal goods (crypto currency).

My contribution to Bitcoin is by promoting bitcoin to my office mates about bitcoin and promoting Indonesian biggest exchange vip.bitcoin.co.id also to my office mate and to people around me

Yes i saw in news that bitcoin is growing in south-asia, good job promoting it there, it will need all the promo it gets.

Well I have twitter and I'm always promote bitcoin with my style.
Also I'm active on my local forum. Try to spread bitcoin with small giveway will attract a newbie to learn how bitcoin work. Once I got their attentio, I will start explain it how to earn some free bitcoin until how to spend it for something usefull

Yes i also found out that twitter is a very efficient way to promote bitcoin. PM me your twitter so that i can follow you!

People, there is a big demand for advertisement networks for Bitcoin. Is anyone here able to create AD networks for Bitcoin? There are a few of them, but not much competition, and Faucet owners really need more AD networks, because some of them only pay once / visit (regardless of banners on the site).

So please if anyone is able to create a new AD network, please do it, there is a big demand for it! Smiley

-----

Also we've hit a milestone on Twitter:
 https://twitter.com/RealBitcoinBlog/status/598486621240094721

We hit 1000 reshares of the Bitcoin tweet! Our average tweeter has around 400 followers so we promoted Bitcoin to over 400,000 people just on twitter! Most of them probably never heard of Bitcoin before, so I thank myself and my helpful tweeters for this effort! Smiley

We built the Bitcoin economy in Vancouver, BC, and continue to sign up new business to accept Bitcoin every week. We also host events, promote heavily on social media, and work together on other marketing campaigns.

We work hard to promote Bitcoin adoption and the decentralization of society. You can support our efforts by donating BTC to 35wDNxFhDB6Ss8fgijUUpn2Yx6sggDgGqS

Good job folks, we need to increase the public opinion about it.

Seems like alot of people are either: skeptical & suspicious or think its unsafe or they dont know about it

This is the 3 major reason why bitcoin is not used by more people, we need to work on both of these 3 issues, simultaneously.

Here are my contributions to our community:

http://bitkoin.io - Bitcoin Calculator
http://ibit.io - Simple Bitcoin Ticker

Both sites support 144 different currencies.

Perfect, very simple, elegant and useful.

Although 1 minor issue, on the ibit.io, you should change it to BTC/USD not USD/BTC, because its the price of 1 BTC denominated in usd.

The USD/BTC would be 0.00395 and that would be BTC.

Just some interpretational issue Smiley

Thats cool, i wish i had gotten my pocket money in bitcoin, i would have not spent it on candy back then. Maybe it teaches your kids some responsibility with money because its harder to spend.

I also wish we had local bitcoin meetups, too bad its not that well known in my country

I appreciate your feedback, but I am 100% confident that I have my units displayed correctly. It's read "US dollars per Bitcoin."

Thats not what i mean, yes the price is correct, but you say there "USD/BTC" which should be "BTC/USD"

The left one is the instrument, the right one is the denominator, so BTC /USD means  1 btc's price denominated in USD, which is 252$

USD/BTC means  1 USD price in BTC, which is 0.00395 BTC

I think some simple math will help convince you.

Say you want to calculate how much 2 BTC is equivalent to in USD.

253 USD/BTC * 2 BTC = 506 USD.

The BTC cancel each other out, leaving you with USD.

Using your way of doing units:

253 BTC/USD * 2 BTC = 506 (BTC^2)/USD.

The units don't work out.

That is not how traditionally it is used, I`ve been trading for 5 years so i know a little bit about financial instrument pair format.

That is the first lesson of trading to know what the instrument pair means.

The left one is the instrument name:BTC , and the right one is the denominator: USD

Thus when you write BTC/USD, that means 1 BTC denominated in USD.

If i write BTC/GBP, that means 1 BTC denominated in british pounds, etc.

If i write USD/BTC that means 1 USD denominated in BTC, the exact vice-versa of the other, which you get by inverting it 1/(BTC/USD)

Well I'll be damned!  Sorry I doubted you. I had no idea they did it backwards in finance.

Well its nothing special its just tradition, and it can be very confusing for investors/traders or other market researchers if you write it reversed, especially if they are not that familiar with cryptos.

Yep i think bitcoin has to expand into the gaming industry aswell. I mean it not about nerds, but c`mon it's a 180 billion $ market, i`m sure bitcoin can have atleast 10% market share there too Smiley

Alot of indie game developers & server hosters like you can benefit from it, and attract new curious gamers.

Good job there!
