I installed Rokos last night on my Pi2 with a Verbatim USB hard drive and it is very easy to install. Incredible to see how easy it is, download img, burn an image on an SD card, insert an SD card into Pi2, start it, launch raspi-config for a small country with a keyboard and you're done! Before installation, I copied the complete string from my Linux server to the USB hard disk, then set datadir for Okcash on the path to the USB hard disk, the modified okcash.conf file and a complete node running. It now operates for about 8 days and is very stable Cool

One of Rokos Core's for OkCash strengths is that it has a graphical user interface that allows it to be more than just dependent on command lines to manage its installation. This allows in particular those who are not necessarily computer giants to set foot in the OkCash universe. This is undoubtedly one of the keys to democratizing the currency to a wider audience.

once the OS image has been downloaded and installed on a microSD card, you will need to type "sudo raspi-config" at boot time, set your time zone, change your user password, extend the file system and restart. You should then be immediately connected to the desktop.

By following the Menu > Internet path, then clicking on the wallet (OkCash Core Client), you will be able to select the backup location for your OkCash block chain. The OS warns that it will take space (a few GB) from the beginning for this directory, which will also serve as a storage location for your wallet.

It is also highly recommended to make regular backups of this data on external media to prevent any incidents.

"ROKOS" Initial Setup

How to burn the ROKOS .img to the SDcard: http://rokos.space/burn_sdcard.html

Steps for first boot

* Raspberry Pi 2, 3: https://rokos.space/rokos_corepi.html

* Pine64+: https://rokos.space/rokos_core.html

Extra info command to auto-sync the OKCash chain in minutes:

a) Open terminal.
b) type:         ./ok-sync-arm64.sh           (this will download and unzip the latest ok-blockchain snapshot to the okcash datafolder)
c) start your wallet after the process is done and give it some minutes.
d) your OK wallet is ready to be used.

Welcome to the ROKOS Desktop

Final steps / BTC and OK Clients

a) Go to Menu > Blockchain and Click on the Bitcoin Wallet

This will open the Bitcoin wallet with the option to select where we will be saving the BTC chain.

*For BTC the initial sync will take some days, wallets are fully usable after being fully Synchronized.

b) Always remember to make constant backups of your wallets and save them in USB or external media.

Use your Bitcoin wallet to plug HW and mine BTC, Send/Receive Bitcoin,
become a full node and support the Bitcoin network, develop new applications,
etc, the limit is only in your imagination.

Important Security Notice:
*) Remember to create a backup for your Wallets, you can use the wallets to create them and save in different folders on a USB device.
You should ALWAYS have a backup of your wallet, Pine64+, Raspberry Pi and IoT Hardware, Debian and ROKOS Software are under development hence not responsible for missuses, electrical or compatibility issues that might cause a loss of information. It is as secure as one's ability to take care for it, same as a computer, so always have a backup of your wallets on an external device.

*) Some people tend to recommend getting a 128Gb MicroSD HC (High speed) , at the same time it does work, We do not recommend this solution, as microSD cards tend to get corrupted by the number of overwrites, to ensure the best functionality and security you should use an external HDD/USB storage device to store the chain.

You can start testing and developing new integration with the Bitcoin and OK Tech for your IoT projects.

Even if I certainly don't mesure the impact of this new achievement and how benefial it will be (sorry to not taking the time to grasp it really), I am sure it is a great achievement for the future of OK.

Sad that this is also a period in which many coins are hitted again and are dropping in value....

Keep up your great work team!

EDIT: it seems in fact that this is pretty old news... not sure what it is coming back with people installing and commenting on it at this particular moment..... ;-)

After a lot of back-end work, CryptoGiveAways.org has re-opened the OKCash claim module.

Owing to the large amount of claims being made with valid but fake email addresses, you will now receive a Claim Validation Link in the notification email.
You MUST validate your claim using this link within 60 Minutes or the claim will expire...

We have updated our OKCash balance and are open for claims.

Thanks all
