STT, I am a bit confused. Are you not syncing at all or are you saying you put the bootstrap in and its still syncing? It is normal for the Bootstrap to have at least some sync time because it's not a living file ( it is not updated on the fly ) So, it would be normal to have to sync from the point the boot strap is created.

Hi people, The transition process to v1.5 is running smooth. Unfortunaly there are still a few people running pre-v1.5 clients and that has to stop A.S.A.P. to prevent forking! The blockchain is growing a bit faster than planned so we are in 20-22 days @ block 21k and that is a few days to early. I have a message from Bittrex: Wallet has been updated.
"version" : "v1.5.0.0", "protocolversion" : 70003, "walletversion" : 60000,
Thanks, Richie If you don't update on time you have to download the correct fork from our EnergyCoin bootstrap server. https://copy.com/wVg3JYE147rDfy2M

Yes you are correct, its just a slow wifi link. It had updated now, however my wallet contents didnt change and apparently this was a wallet which was not my main one. The quest goes on, none of the ones I looked for so far worked, .exe just crashes if its the wrong type I guess. I swear I saved it, or maybe I saved and then later threw it away like that guy who put his bitcoin hdd in a drawer then it went to the local dump with 1000 btc on it

Hello Peter, great to have you here, and a big welcome to energycoin from me:)
Hello Croxx, Thanks for your warm welcome the first day I came onboard, both here and via your PM. By the way my EnergyCoin Core wallet shows 20 connections today, almost doubled the number weeks ago. Now the EnergyCoin network is a lot more decentralized (which is good). Peter

@peter thx for you support! Beginning next week we have MacOsx wallet available for download. We are now testing client v1.5 I see also 17 connections with v1.5 and 3 older ones. I have v1.3 RaspberryPI running and if Rokos is ready I migrate my RPI to v1.5 on Rokos. edit You can download a version with nodes: https://www.dropbox.com/s/axw452f7zzh6qvz/EnergyCoin-Qt.zip?dl=0

@STT, I go through your posts here and it appears you might have given up. Next time remember to keep your private keys, in addition to wallet.dat alone. But you may not totally lose your hope. Do you still remember what client you used when you generated the wallet.dat? You might get wrong type error only if the wallet DB version that the client you are using now is different from the DB version that generated the wallet.dat before. It could occur if you compiled the clients on your own with different DB versions. It was also possible that there had nothing wrong in DB version and your wallet.dat might just get corrupted. Assuming you use Windows (because you mentioned .exe), you may try the following steps: 1. Find out the exact client you used for generating the wallet.dat; 2. Make a shortcut for the exact client (energycoin-qt.exe); 3. Edit the shortcut and add this at the end of target field: 4. Launch with the shortcut. Good luck! Peter

Guys, We will finalize our redesign of OP next week. If anyone also has any idea how he/she wants to improve it, feel free to post here or send me PM. I 'm curieus for the result and EnergyCoin is in a nice up-trenth on Bittrex. Maybe ENRG is a few week more than $ 100k CoinmarketcapWe are now @ $ 76k. So posible improvements for the OP: - Link to twitter EnergyCoin dev team controlls - Link to Facebook EnergyCoin dev team controlls - A live ticker with exchange rates - Link to an official EnergyCoin website with specs of the Currency and an overview of the roadmap btw twitter, Facebook and webside we work on.

Hello kawa900jc, In order to attract more investors, we should target to go into top 100 on coinmarketcap first. Thanks for your suggestions about the OP. For the official website, twitter or facebook links, I will add a new Social Media section in the OP after they are ready. Live ticker should possibly be installed on the official website instead of OP. This old SMF forum doesn't seem to support javascript. Peter

Top 100 is a nice tagret but then we need an exchange rate for ENRG of more then 700 Satoshi! Curecoin #100 has a coinmarketcap of $ 337k that is 5x more then ENRG. It is possible but I doubt if all the ENRG is in strong hands. Every time if we are +100 Satoshi there is new sell pressure but I hope now with a good plan for the roadmap we want to present the coming weeks people with a short therm vision have left the ship. And Peter I know you have an good vision for getting more attraction and maybe entry new markets with huge potential. The ROKOS RaspberryPI IoT platform will released in the beginning of next week and with IoT gamification of energy saving I see huge potential. I for sure keep my investments in ENRG for real profit and a better environment.

Hi I'm a bit confused I'm sorry but the 5 ENRG block reward would kick in by block 2.1m right? So we're still in the percentage stake rewards?

I for sure keep my investments in ENRG for real profit and a better environment. What I tried to say was that larger investors normally would focus on trading the top 100. That is why we should make it as our target. CureCoin now has 5x less coin supply than EnergyCoin, but CureCoin price is almost 30x higher than that of EnergyCoin. You should now realize which one is undervalued. CureCoin, however, does have a nice 3rd-party partner - Folding@Home. EnergyCoin has also started to work with our 3rd-party partners, such as ROKOS. As a responsible dev, I shall not talk too much about the price. I believe when we get more things developed, smart investors will then come. Peter

Yes you are right. 5 ENRG block reward will kick start @block 2.1m. This is already hard-coded in our EnergyCoin Core software. That's why everyone MUST update to v1.5 before block height 2.1m, otherwise their new blocks won't get accepted by the network if they still use v1.4 (or below) after block height 2.1m. Now we already @block 2052480. We still have less than 50K blocks for people to stake at 8% PoS block reward.

I have 2 wishes for Energy coin right now.
1. I would like to see Energycoin be able to be exchanged directly for dollars or Nubits ( Also Pounds and Euros ).
2. I would like to be able to chose the drive and directory the blockchain resides in. The storage on my network tends to be diffuse With Pcs and NAS comprising most of my storage. It would be a good thing to be able to change the chain location in the event that I start having space problems on the Pi2 and need more time to do an upgrade. This would also minimize downtime for my node.
It should be noted that my first wish is mostly targeted at the Energycoin foundation or Energycoin users. I would like for us to be under control of the trade of the coin and not have to rely only on the exchanges.
