Welp, I decided to close the polls since the race is now over.... Obama is our president for 4 more years.
Soooo, how does everyone feel?
Meh. Goldman Sachs wins again. Business as usual. The one ray of hope I see is with several states voting for legalization or decriminalization of marijuana, Perhaps Obama will finally use some of that political capital he's been saving to push through national legalization. Not like he needs it to get re-elected, and it would be a nice thank you to all the stoners who voted him a job for 4 more years.
Cory Doctorow just summed it up nicely on Twitter: "Amazing to think that I'm relieved at the victory of the pro-wiretapping, pro-extrajudicial-assassination, anti-whistleblower candidate"
"Amazing to think I'm relieved at victory for the pro-TransPacificPartnership, pro-domain-seizure, pro-RIAA candidate"
Obama was (and will be) bad, but Romney straight-up scared the shit out of me.
Edit: And Johnson made a respectable showing. Not quite the 5% we were hoping for, but not bad.
