Heard about this on an episode of agorist radio and thought it sounded like an excellent way to help the bitcoin network be bomb proof

http://www.mondonet.org/

Building a mesh network outside the one controlled and increasingly prone to censorship and the taking down of domains means we need to build an alternative. I think bitcoin could help monetise it in a few ways including software that lets people earn bitcoins for providing the bandwidth the mesh network needs along with home fabricators selling the hardware needed for bitcoins -routers etc.

I think makerbots could build some of the needed parts...getting around cisco and other companies who install tracking and backdoors in their hardware.
