It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

this won't do much for the price as you can see. traders don't think it's moon time yet. it will be a challenge this year to see $300 again.

The last one week has been good. A steady uptrend.
I was surprised to see Bitcoin rise from $220 to $240 so quickly.
Maybe Bitcoin will surprise us soon.  Smiley

With this sort of action, I'd be surprised if the sellers who bought at reasonable rates aren't arbing on cloud 9 right now.

Yeah, but I believe there aren't exactly many people who bought at "reasonable rates", though :/  Everyone who is eligible for selling their shares most likely bought at a higher price. Arbitraging this asset is pretty much a one-time thing, really...

I should have gotten into Bitcoin back in 1992...

Yeah, I imagine that many of these shareholders are holding shares bought in the 500-600$ range so they'll have to sit back for a while unless newer investors are gonna start placing bids/bets in higher territory in large swaths.

Yeah, it will take some time for the shares bought at lower prices become available for trading. One year ago we were still at $600(!!!). Selling the shares and buying back in on a regular BTC exchange may indeed be tempting for some!

It would be great if this was picking up more steam. I can't wait for an ETF that is buying coins directly... If this way of buying BTC really is the right thing for people on NYSE, we need the COIN ETF ASAP!!!

No kidding. Where the hell is this BitLicense, it should be due pretty soon. I presume the Winks have their operations pretty much set up but will just have to have a review process once the damn license comes out and then they should be ready, perhaps late summer/early fall.

when the bitcoin price seems to go up for a while people get excited and then it goes down again. it has happened many times. it won't change any time soon.
