Something about this one speaks to me and this may be a hidden gem/goldmine at these prices and difficulty.  With enough awareness this could reach (if not surpass) the level of Peercoin.  Just look at it for a second...

• Shares a lot of the same fundamentals as Peercoin, SHA256d, 1% per stake year, re-target every block, unlimited coin supply.
• Money supply will be almost equal to (or less than) that of Peercoin at block 210k (Peercoin currently has 22.3M money supply)
• Inflation will be nearly 50% less than Peercoin after block 210k (With PoW, Peercoin makes about 80+ coins every 10 minutes, UNIT will make 50 every 10 minutes.

Things should start getting real interesting once the block reward drops to 5 in about 68 days...
I'll keep buying the cheap coins that the dummies keep mining and dumping. I can just imagine the regret those fools will have 1 year from now.  

Oh, and the current money supply of UNIT is still under 6M.  I don't know, but it looks like the supply at block 210k may actually be significantly less than the stated 21M.

By the way, a little advise to @carboncredit.  If you are indeed serious about this, I would suggest posting some type of status update at least once every 2 or 3 days.  Doesn't need to be detailed.  It's good to keep the thread active.

yes i agree if carboncredit really wants to make this work he needs to communicate better and hit his releases or update roadmap to realistic dates.  people lose faith if you miss dates.  He has a website but hasnt published to the OP.  my only concern is he hasnt filled out the team section of the website and probably wont give his identity whcih makes it difficult to trust.

basically @carboncredit has set dates and missed and not giving much communication,  he may be legit but people are not trusting which they probably shouldnt be.  So until he put a real update out this will continue to be the trend.

I've been closely following this for some time and it holds promise in my opinion.  

Other investor's share this thought:

In the last 2 weeks a few investors have been buying up all the cheap coins on Bittrex.  This is obvious due to the neat feature that shows the wallet distribution in Bittrex deposits.   There have never been more than 600k UNIT on the open market.  I've seen two large wallets of 900k+ and a smaller 600k.  All of which are gone now from Bittrex and recently appeared in two new wallets outside of Bittrex.

The rich list shows 3 new addresses that account for this:


So we have two new UNIT millionaire's.  That's about a 5+ BTC investment from each at 200 satoshi.  Clearly these are serious long term (why would they withdraw the coins from Bittrex if it wasn't going to be long term?) investors who see the potential that this coin has.   

Also, the developer has pretty much revealed his plan at this point (Cryptomining Farm).  He appears to be focused and willing to put in the effort.  This isn't your average mine and dump coin.  It has long term goals with a clear direction.   No doubt that this has the capability to match (or at least challenge) the price of a Peercoin.

I'm trying it out now.  I'm new to this and wanted some real world experience solo mining.  I've tried to mine directly to my wallet, using the .conf user/pass settings.  But it's never worked for me.  Maybe desktop wallets don't support Stratum, only CPU and GPU mining???  Again, I'm a baby at this, so I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.  Thanks again for allowing me the opportunity to do some solo mining.

As is common with PoS/PoW hybrids, PoW ends sooner than expected with less than the pre-determined amount of minted coins.

I just hope some clueless short sighted miner mindlessly dumps his coins so I can pick up a last few cheap ones before this starts rising to the moon.
