As a service to the community, I took a snapshot of the Universal blockchain this morning and uploaded it to Google Drive (you will have to ignore the "whoops" message and click download). Stop universal-qt, put the contents of the 7z file into your %appdata%\universalcurrency folder, and restart it. Should get you to the morning of 1/26/18, around 10 AM. Cuts the 58 hours of CPU time down to about 30 seconds.
Thanks!!!!!

https://universal-currency.slack.com  Is this slackgroup now a private group? I am unable to sign up to this workgroup.

What's it mean not staking because coins are not mature? Why is that happening? The coins were staking until I encrypted the wallet.

I rebooted the wallet  it resolved the issue.

Hello! Where did you download this blockchain?

I posted earliear about this...basically downloaded the blk0001.dat file from the first post of this thread, then let the wallet sync for 56 hours or so. Once synced, I just compressed the files from %APPDATA%\UniversalCurrency.

I've started a new NOMP pool mining Universal and Digibyte (SHA-256) with 0% fees as it is still in test mode. But if you want to throw some mining power at it, please visit http://97.97.201.11. I have not found blocks yet so I cannot confirm that payouts are working but I have no reason to believe they wouldn't be working. I have two S9's pointed at it currently, one in each pool...there may be more being pointed at it later today.

I am planning on putting a MPOS front end on this pool, and maybe moving it to a data center that we run at my office if things go well.

Since it's NOMP, there is no signup; just put your payment address as your user name with any password. If you don't use a valid address, the pool will reject your connection.

Mining settings:

stratum+tcp://97.97.201.11:8333 (Universal)
stratum+tcp://97.97.201.11:8334 (Digibyte)

Appreciate any hashing power--happy mining!

Hi there. Dear friends, could you help me with EXTREMELY slow wallet syncronization? Are there some more nodes except pointed in the firs post and hashpool.eu nodes?
I've downloaded the main block file from googledisk (some posts ago), but even new blocks are syncronizing very very very VEEEEERY slow.

How to setup S9 for mining UNIT?
For example for hashpool.eu

Is this correct:

Worker: MY_UNIT_WALLET
Password: c=UNIT p=??? d=???

Also, how i can see stats for each my S9?

Please explain. Thank You.

Unfortunately, NOMP does not appear to be making payments. The pool did find a block while one additional miner was mining at P8xxx5UmtEyFEfqoCcjeRUy3NAGyMXXxSX, with a hash rate of about 4.5 TH, so I've manually paid 4.5/31.5=0.143 to that address (I had both my S9s working on this coin @ 13.5 each).

I've shut down the pool until I can get MPOS working that should handle payments better and provide a better front end for miners. Will repost when the new & (hopefully) improved pool is running.

Thanks P8xxx5UmtEyFEfqoCcjeRUy3NAGyMXXxSX, whoever you are!

I’m bad at math. Payment should be 5 times the above...will pay the rest when I can.

You set correctly:
URL: pool.hashpool.eu:3333
Worker: MY_UNIT_WALLET
Password: c=UNIT

You can let pool automatically set difficulty

Confirmed. It is behaving very oddly--I can look up an address and not see all of the transactions, but when I find the actual block and pull up the txid, then the transaction will show up when I go back to the address.

Something definitely broken there...

Yes, and that "something" is called Iquidus Explorer

Had to close the pool. NOMP will not make payments for UNIT, since the daemon does not report transaction details, which NOMP requires to make payments.

P8xxx, I've made the final payment of 3.75 UNIT. Thanks for the help.

Question concerning the wallet

I saw in settings-options there is a spot for optional transaction fees that helps to make sure that transaction are proccessed quickly.
By default it's at 0. but it says that recommended if 5.
What do you guys think here?
Does leaving 0 will make the transaction impossible to do and but the UNIT in danger to be lost in the space or the transaction to take days?
on the other end, is 5 too much?
What do you recommend?

cheers

i am having a hard time believing this is the most profitable coin anymore with the recent influx of new miners and the difficulty increase.

Thanks kagami.  Is that the only one?

I only know what it says at

Just mined this coin for 12 hours with one of mine S9's and the rewad 5 coins only???
According to mining calculators I should be making about 20 coins a day, but why so little?

I was using Ispace pool. Does anyone reccomend any other better maybe?

Very excited about this project and want to contribute but if the mining will be like this I am going back to BTC/BCC mining instead...

I have same problem and need better pool Huh

I've been mining on   unit.thecoin.pw   and get about 1 UNIT/hour with my single S9

Hi guys need some help on that pool.
We have a few antminers running on the pool but one disconnects once in a while. We are not sure why
we have 4 x s7 and 1 s9 on it.
The s7 are in variable stratum and s9 on a fixed one. the s7's are the one disconnecting. Would it help if we just put them on on stratum difficulty instead of the variable one?
thank you
