May i propose two subcategories for Goods:

Digital Goods

Physical Goods

Maybe just a "Digital Goods" subcategory, with the top-level Goods category for physical goods.

I've noticed that some people post digital goods in Services. Is this very common? (I don't look at those sections much.)

I did not notice that but not in the Service category much

There are also occasional digital goods posts in the "Currency exchange" subcategory (i.e. Amazon Codes).
Though I'm not sure whether Amazon Gift Cards could be considered currency.
