Do you have a script for a short horror movie? Do you want to see that movie made?

My friend and I are looking to film a bunch of short horror movies to put up on a website we are building. These movies will be filmed on a low budget ($100-$250 each) so please take that into account before you submit us a script.

Requirements for a script:

The script must fit a four to eight minute film time.

It must be of the horror/suspense genre

It must be a completed script (no concepts or half completed work will be accepted)

It can't have more than three characters. (Not including voice overs, or characters never fully seen)

What you'll get for submitting a script

You'll get a full credit for writing the script (Unless otherwise stated)

You'll get placed onto the screenplays by page on our website.


Before you ask:

How are you going to treat my script?

We know you work hard on your scripts. You pour your blood, sweat, tears and very soul into them. You can expect us to do the same when filming them.

Are we getting paid to give you a script?

At the moment no. We are putting up a budget of in between $100-$250 to help make your script into a film. Not to mention the hours it takes to actually film it and edit it.

How long do you think the production will take for my script to become a film?

It will take in between One to Three weeks to have it ready for public view.

This is the first time our crew has worked on anything together . All of us have previous experience working on projects for our schools media class. We take this work very seriously because we love doing it, however this would be the first time we've worked on projects independently.

We are currently working on a short called "The Bump" (written by myself) if you would like to wait until after you see it to submit something that would be fine with us!

One thing. You mentioned three actors - are they all male, or can we include a female part?

Sounds like a great idea. wish I was a writer, lol. but was wondering what do you use to film them? what format? Im assuming for 250 bucks that it cant be film, lol  so its obviously some digital format.

this is the future of video. I had a friend that wanted to make a site where users made their own content, sitcoms, dramas, etc. this was before youtube, i think there are several video services where you can buy a channel and bandwidth, but dont know how that is different than youtube.

Do you guys have  a web site? if you put on here somewhere, i apologize, but I have no doubt that if you do this right, it will be successful. Its amazing how many good, talented writers are out there but its hard to get your foot in the door at major studios, this is a fantastic idea..

keep us updated about future projects. im sure it wouldnt be too hard to get investors, especially after you get a few shorts under your belt...
